Nick persuades Simon to do his A Levels before thinking about joining the Navy. Soon, Elsa is in the corner shop and overhears Leanne buying a bottle of wine as they are celebrating. Later at the flat, Leanne and Nick enjoy a night of passion when the buzzer goes. Leanne is shocked when Nick tells her that he hasn’t been entirely honest with her.
Meanwhile, Seb expresses an interest in adopting the twins but the social worker tells him that his association with Abi is a disadvantage. Later, Abi is sent down for 16 weeks but is pleased when she meets up with an old mate in prison. Seb decides to press on with his plans.
Elsewhere, Steff tells Sinead to come clean about not having the chemo; Paula assures Sophie that things are looking up now they have evidence of Duncan’s offshore bank account; Gina heads out on a date and is shocked when ‘Ian’ turns out to be Duncan. The coroner rules Ronan’s death was accidental and Robert says maybe now is time to try for a baby.

It’s Mercedes and Russ’ wedding day – Mercedes reminisces about her past failed marriages and is optimistic that this one will be different. Father Dan can’t do the service, so Cleo asks Joel to officiate the wedding. Mercedes is elated as she gets out of the wedding car. As the ceremony starts, Janet Street Porter and Linda Robson arrive, they are guests of the wedding and they are late.
Meanwhile, Joel tells Cleo the truth about his kiss with Goldie, and she is gutted that she wasn’t the last person he kissed before returning to the priesthood. He wants them to remain friends and gives Cleo a kiss.
Elsewhere, Liam receives a delivery of poison, labelled karma, and has Grace tied up in the office. He orders her to summon the other WAGs (Maxine, Courtney and Simone) and ties them all up when they arrive. He plans to give them all a cocktail but only one will have the poison in.

Ruhma and Shak meet unctuous undertaker William Harrison to discuss the arrangements for the funeral. As William reads out a letter detailing the elaborate instructions for a celebration of life, Ruhma falters. Can she go against her instincts and comply with the contents of the letter?
Later, Ruhma visits Mrs Tembe in hospital who says she wishes she had have died instead. Ruhma goes into work mode, making sure she is eating and keeping her strength up. But Mrs Tembe’s self-pity soon begins to aggravate Ruhma who snaps at her. Meanwhile, Shak and Alia argue about Shak blaming Al for the crash.
Elsewhere, Zara suggests to Daniel that they do a family Christmas card with Izzie.
