On the day of Caitlin’s birthday, a shocking discovery has Maggie on the brink. Meanwhile, Gabriel attempts to get to the bottom of Nicole’s motives and Suzie comes up with a bright idea to encourage festive cheer in Shieldinch.
River City, Tuesday at 8pm on BBC One Scotland.
Martin panics about dropping Ruby in it with the photo and asks Kush to cover for him. Stacey is stunned when Ruby tells her what has happened and that she is dropping the charges. Fuming, Stacey confronts Kush but Martin steps in to calm things down and admits that he was actually responsible. Stacey is none too impressed and later forces Martin to come clean to Ruby too.
Meanwhile, Shirley makes a surprise return to the Vic and loses her cool with Linda over events in her absence. She makes her feelings very clear to Stuart as well before going to see Tina who she offers reassurance to. Desperate, Shirley contacts Phil for help in getting Ritchie back on board and Phil says he will sort it when he is back – he’s planning to surprise Sharon in a couple of days. Later, Shirley and Tina arrive at the Vic to collect the rest of their things but when Shirley comes back down it’s Linda’s things she has – she’s kicking Stuart and Linda out.
Elsewhere, Louise asks Keanu about driving lessons and a jealous Sharon observes the exchange.
EastEnders, Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
Clive is keen to speak to Leyla but Vanessa stops him from doing so, leaving him worried. Inside, Leyla thanks Vanessa and ponders her next move. Later, as Frank and Clive discuss Leyla she arrives and the pair are left concerned about what she’s going to say. She explains to Clive she refuses to take part in their scheme and Frank is panicked when he is ordered to tell Megan about the con. Will Frank do as he is told? And what will happen when the buyer Eleanor arrives?
With Jimmy away on a haulage job, a frustrated Nicola is struggling with child care so Robert steps in to help. Nicola realises he is missing Seb and to solve both their money problems, they decide on a scheme together – they are going to try to wrestle control of the Haulage firm away from Graham.
Elsewhere, Chas confesses to Lydia a gulf has opened up between her and Paddy following their recent loss.
Emmerdale, Tuesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.
It’s Lily’s 18th, but the occasion has slipped Prince’s mind. Scott hands Lily a letter from her mother that was written before she passed away.
Romeo gives Prince a heads up about Lily’s birthday. Later, Prince tells Romeo he’s found a lump in his testicle.
Elsewhere, Mac invites Marnie to Alfie’s psychological assessment today, against Alfie’s wishes. Mac further asks Marnie out to lunch to rebuild their relationship. James is disgusted.
Hollyoaks, Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
Ayesha supports Ruhma as she steels herself to register Heston’s death. As Ruhma waits to go in, she is approached by a young mum, Gitisha whose baby she helped deliver. Gitisha thanks Ruhma profusely for all her help and tells everyone in the waiting room how amazing she is.
It’s too much for Ruhma who flees from the room with tears streaming down her face. Outside, Ruhma confides in Ayesha that she has no idea how she is going to carry on.
Meanwhile, Karen is struggling with the role of practice manager and she comes to a decision that Zara and Daniel won’t like.
