As Faye struggles to look after Lily and Harry, whilst Shona and Sarah are out for birthday drinks, Max arrives home in a filthy mood. Shona and Sarah walk in on the middle of an argument between Max and Lily and things escalate when they hear a loud crash and find Harry unconscious. Harry is rushed to hospital and Shona immediately rounds on Max, but he insists that Lily was responsible.
Later, Marion arrives and reveals to Shona that she’s Max’s grandma; he’s been visiting her regularly and he’s currently at her house. Realising Shona is drunk, Marion claims she’s an unfit mother. Marion seeks advice from Adam about getting custody of her grandchildren and unaware of who she is, he gives it. Later, Lily owns up to pushing Harry and Shona is dealt another blow when Marion text to say she’ll be hearing from her solicitor.
Meanwhile, the severity of her illness hits Sinead hard as she is forced to use a wheelchair to get to a family picnic. Daniel, Sinead, Beth, Kirk and Craig enjoy the picnic in Victoria Garden but as Sinead tries to join a game of charades it is evident that she is too poorly and needs to be taken home.
Elsewhere, Gemma has a hairy encounter with a turnstile; Geoff is put out when Alya is open to Yasmeen investing in Speed Daal but not him; Bethany asks James about the politics of being a professional footballer and says it would make a great article; and Ali approaches Toyah for some unofficial advice.

Liam breaks into the McQueen’s to steal Harry’s phone from Joel, but he is disturbed by Goldie and leaves empty handed. Changing tactic, Liam offers Joel money for the money. When Joel refuses the bribe, Liam beats him up.
Tom finds an unconscious Joel in The Dog carpark and calls an ambulance. Mercedes knows Liam was responsible, but Liam is sure that Joel won’t say anything. However, Liam is later arrested for assault after a witness comes forward, leaving Mercedes panicked.
Elsewhere, Peri confronts James and Marnie is shocked to hear what he did. Mitchell and Scott discuss their affair.
Also, Sienna is trying to keep herself in Brody’s sights by doing some school work on The Dog patio while he works on The Loveboat. Liberty decides to meddle…

Rob really want to tell Karen what is going on with Imogen, but she is keen to avoid a fuss. Imogen catches up with Sid and seeks some reassurance about what she should do next.
Meanwhile, Karen is driving everyone mad with her Art Fest project – even Valerie has had enough and plots a lunchtime escape with Ruhma to The Icon. The Icon is in chaos – manager Finn is rude, obnoxious, emotional and completely out of his depth.
Elsewhere, Zara and Joe talk about the Art Fest – Joe’s school is taking part this week. Joe reveals a painting he’s done and Zara remarks on it being a lovely ‘family picture’ but Joe reveals that it’s more complicated than that. His explanation proves emotional for Zara.
