Pick of the Plots: Monday, 30th June
POTP storylines from the UK and Australian soaps for the last day of June….
It’s tense in The Vic as Linda tells Elaine she wants to sell her half of The Vic. Elaine tries to talk Linda out of it, but they end up having a big argument. Linda heads to the café to chat with George, who encourages her to see the situation from Elaine’s point of view. Elaine spies their interaction from The Vic and jumps to the conclusion that the pair are plotting behind her back.
Later, Elaine feels defeated after a meeting with the bank doesn’t go well and tries to convince Johnny to be her silent partner, but he turns her down. After a tough day, Elaine loses her cool at The Vic, kicking everyone out before having a heated argument with Linda. The stress finally gets to her, and she collapses, leaving Johnny and Linda shocked.
Linda and Johnny rush to help Elaine, but she brushes off her collapse as just a panic attack. Feeling guilty, Linda talks to Johnny and thinks maybe she should keep her share of The Vic for Elaine’s benefit, but Johnny insists she should sell. They head back to the bar only to find Elaine has collapsed again.
Meanwhile, Vicki and Ross are dealt a blow when Zack tells them that Sharon is kicking them out of No.43 for not paying back their debt. Vicki tries to secure an advance from Bernie but ends up getting the boot instead. In a fit of revenge, Vicki swipes Bernie’s laptop after she starts to suspect something’s off, and later, she blackmails her at No.43 when it comes to light that Bernie has been pilfering cash from the Panesar business accounts.
Vicki manages to convince Zack to speak to Sharon about staying at No.43 after roping Kathy into her pleas, but Kathy is later horrified when Vicki reveals the true reason behind her sudden change in cash flow. Kathy informs Suki that Bernie has pilfered funds from the Panesar’s enterprises, and before long, the Panesars confront Bernie who is quick to shift the blame on to Vicki.
Elsewhere, Stacey arrives home with Hope and Arthur, much to Jean and Mo’s delight. The family bring Stacey up to speed with recent events, but it’s clear Stacey is hiding something when she acts shifty around Kat.
Also, Johnny and Felix agree to move in together, much to Callum and Linda’s surprise. Joel continues to have a negative influence on Tommy and encourages him to steal vapes from the Minute Mart.

Millie panics when Theo reveals that he’s off to see Millie’s teacher about her pregnancy. Todd tells Millie it’s obvious she’s lying, and it would be best to come clean, and an emotional Millie agrees. Todd tells Millie to take a pregnancy test to prove that the first one gave a false positive and he won’t tell her parents. When Theo returns home, Millie announces she’s got something to tell him. Will Millie tell Theo the truth?
Kevin picks up Abi’s phone and sees a message from Carl stating he’d like to get to know her better. As Carl secretly mocks up another fake MOT certificate, Abi warns him to stay away from her as Kevin sees the last message he sent.
When Kevin arrives for work, Abi shows him a car that Carl’s been working on, pointing out his sloppy workmanship but when Kevin watches the CCTV, he’s shocked to see Abi tampering with the car.
When Dee-Dee tells James and Ed she’s glad to have the support of her church, James makes it clear that Laila’s upbringing will be non-religious. Dee-Dee retaliates by meeting up with Billy telling him she’d like him to baptise Laila, but Billy makes it clear she needs James’s permission first. What will Dee-Dee do?
At Cassie’s suggestion, Cassie, Steve, Sally and Tim meet for lunch. Sally makes barbed remarks at Cassie while Tim tries to keep the peace. When Tracy calls in, will she be able to keep the peace? As Sally and Tim gradually warm to Cassie, Steve states he can see himself falling for her. How will Cassie respond?
Nina and Summer agree that they got off lightly.

Paddy spots a sheep caught in a fence on Celia’s farm and rushes to help the tangled animal, however, after freeing the sheep, Paddy freezes in terror when an aggressive dog approaches. The mutt savages Paddy like a toy bear, however a real Bear manages to save him, his father not an animal.
From the attack it becomes painfully clear, like an hour of Corrie focusing on the teens, Paddy is grievously injured. Arriving at the hospital, Mandy tries to comfort a traumatised Bear as they wait for Paddy to emerge from surgery. Paddy is incredibly grateful to his dad for saving his life.
Ross agrees to attempt to get Lewis to change his mind about selling the weed to a dealer, after Mack reminds him that they’re doing this to help Moira keep the farm. After opening up to his brother, Lewis is grateful when Ross reaffirms a commitment to doing things Lewis’ way.
However unbeknownst to them, Mack has already agreed to sell the weed to a dealer. Lewis can’t believe his brother’s betrayal when Mack’s buyer pays a surprise visit to check out the crop. With his relationship with Lewis completely fractured by Mack’s betrayal, Ross is in no mood to help Mack complete the deal with Ray. Mack’s left looking desperate.

Lucas opens a message on Dillon’s phone and discovers his STI results are clear, but when he tries to get intimate with him he’s given the cold shoulder. Dillon shrugs him off and heads out. Marie shows Arlo her new business venture she’s invested in next to The Hutch, a beauty salon. Vicky tells Frankie she wants to move forward with her life and not think about Grace or Robbie.
The Dog is getting ready for reopening as the building work continues. As Darren and Tony check on the progress, Tony confesses to Darren he’s disheartened after the recent public spectacle. Tony finds a takeaway cup with Mercedes initials on and realises who’s been hiding out in the pub.
In the village Tony confronts Mercedes about harbouring Bobby, with her son gone and worried about him, she pleads with him to not go to the police. With Tony seeming defiant she runs off. Outside in the garden Frankie, Dillon and Vicky are having drinks, Frankie moping over Jacob who’s been ghosting her. On the way for more drink Frankie discovers Jacob at the gate and invites him to join them.
Bobby is missing. At the McQueens Myra tries to make amends with Mercedes saying she was only having a chat with Donny, over the fence as a neighbour and didn’t think about the repercussions for Bobby and the police hunt for him. What has Myra done?
Clare visits Grace and tells her latest plan to her sister, who is unconscious and ventilated, and it appears that Clare has not forgotten that Mercedes ran her over and now plans to avenge the attack. Drunk and wanting to prove they loved each other, Vicky confesses to the other teens she stole Clare’s £2 million giving it to Robbie to flee the village and it was her who attacked Grace. Dillon and Frankie drag Vicky inside.

Viv’s crushed when her plans to meet Tyler for the first time are thwarted when Eddie reveals a change of plan. With Harry away in Dundee on business, Tyler has to work at the Jailbirds so Eddie can’t arrange for them to meet afterall.
Undeterred, Viv spots an opportunity to watch her son from afar. Pretending to be a punter, Viv watches Tyler intently but gets cold feet when it comes to revealing her true identity. Later, Eddie’s surprised when Harry returns early and they head to the Jailbirds to talk business where he’s stunned to see Viv and urges her to leave immediately.
Spotting their heated exchange, Tyler asks what’s going on…leading to a shocking revelation.
Elsewhere, Drew’s ecstatic when he gets news about his footballing future. However, knowing hidden use of drugs to help his knee injury will be uncovered with testing, Drew turns to Dean for help. When Karen witnesses the altercation from afar and confronts Drew and is shocked at the extent of his drug dependency.
Mikey decides to get back in the dating game but finds Emma and Gillian’s interference over-the-top. Rather than creating a false impression to potential love interests, Mikey decides it’s better to be honest on the apps if he’s ever going to meet someone nice.
Also, at Molly’s Corner, Sonny waits anxiously in the hope of bumping into Conor. Sensing his unease, Tommy gently encourages him to leave well alone – apologising while he’s drunk is not a good idea.

Cash and Eden, the newly engaged, arrive home to a congratulations sign and cold champagne in the fridge. They agree – it was worth waiting for, it’s just a shame that Cash has to get to work, although half an hour might be just enough time to keep celebrating… John catches wind they’re back in town and interrupts the romance to pitch himself as their celebrant. Cash leaves, after throwing his fiancée under the bus – he promises Eden will update John, and John is genuinely filled with joy – special moments like these don’t come often enough.
The security van carrying Theo, Lacey, Sonny and Dana comes to a sudden stop – the guards get out to move a fallen tree, but Lacey’s heart sinks – none of this seems right. And she’s correct. Emerging from the surrounding bush, dozens of River Boys start to surround them. The River Boys take down the bodyguards, and the van is surrounded: Blood and Sand tattoos front, and centre and they lead with a threat – we warned you to keep your mouths shut.
Dana and Lacey have their phones taken and are abandoned in the middle of the road as Theo and Sonny are driven away. Dana starts to freak out, but Lacey has her head screwed on and soon enough Cash and Tane pull up to rescue them. Lacey explains she planted her phone in the van – they can track it. Dana is safely returned to Harper, and Eden rushes to update Leah and Justin about the ambush. Cash explains to Lacey the news is not good – they’re not going to delay the trial. The judge wants to proceed without Theo and Sonny, which might not be enough to put Gage away…
The van lies dormant somewhere in the remote bush, and Theo lies in the dirt, barely breathing. He’s still in an incredible amount of pain having not fully recovered from his previous injuries, and Sonny arrives to rustle up some painkillers. They’re on their own, in the middle of nowhere, rationing the water. They’ve no idea how long they travelled, or which direction. Sonny worries they need to stay put until help finds them…. If help finds them.

Aaron tries and fails to poke holes in Nicolette’s theory that Rhett and Colton have hooked up. Convinced it is so, Aaron confronts his beaus only to find there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation for everything.
Rhett and Colton are livid with Aaron. Aaron scolds Nicolette for getting in his head and giving him dodgy intel. He apologises to Rhett and Colton, but they’re both disappointed by his hypocrisy; he’s not exclusive with them, so they don’t owe him their exclusivity in return. Aside from this issue of the double standard, Aaron’s antics have taken an emotional toll on Rhett and Colton. He’s hurt them, and Aaron can only wear his mistake on the chin. The irony is, this whole mess has brought Rhett and Colton together – so much so, they start hanging out without Aaron.
Has he he’s pushed his two love interests towards each other?
Susan has major doubts about Karl leaving Eirini and does her best to talk him down, but Karl insists it’s time for him to move on. Loathe to leave Terese in the lurch, Karl begins scoping out a potential successor and pitches Remi on the idea. She declines, but Susan comes to her with another proposal. Susan hopes if Remi shows a little interest in the job, it’ll buy more time for Karl to think about the choice and come to his senses.
Though uneasy about deceiving Karl, Remi agrees to give it a go as she believes, like Susan, that Karl’s making this choice for the wrong reasons and should take some time. Remi and Susan set this plan in motion and Karl is delighted by Remi apparently reconsidering. But getting Karl’s hopes up is never a good idea when it’s laced in a lie.
Terese is still on the fence about whether to go to Rome. As tempted as she is by the prospect of having a break, she can’t leave Eirini Rising while the Darcy fallout continues to cast a shadow. Colton believes the solution to easing the resident’s nerves is to bring joy back to Eirini, and he’s planned just the activity for it – nude yoga. It’s a roll of the dice, but it pays off beautifully when even the toughest critics (Gino and Vera) give rave reviews.
Terese is so impressed with how well Colton can read the resident’s needs. It gives her the peace of mind she needs to book that flight. Terese is Rome-bound.
