Alfie sets up a staged wedding shoot to advertise his and Kat’s limo business. He confides in Linda about wanting to propose to Kat, and she urges him to take the plunge.

Later on, at their flat, Alfie pops the question to Kat, and she says yes before they both head over to The Vic.

Meanwhile, Kathy persuades Peter to make amends with Lauren, but Peter starts to worry that Lauren is keeping something from him. Peter heads to The Vic to ask Johnny about custody advice, but Honey overhears and informs Lauren. Lauren officially ends things with Peter.

Elsewhere, disaster strikes for Cindy after Felix, Freddie and the rest of her workers walk off the job when they realise she hasn’t paid them. Kojo spots Cindy in need and offers to help, but George steps in.

Gina is incredulous as she spies her dad helping Cindy, however, she agrees to lend a hand when it becomes clear how much Cindy is trying. Felix and Freddie celebrate with Elaine in The Vic when news of Cindy’s failures reaches her.

Also, Avani gets the better of Joel after his attempts to humiliate her fall flat.

Having had no Emmerdale yesterday, you’ve got a bumper edition this evening. Tonight shocks in store as Caleb has woken up to find Ruby’s missing from Mill Cottage, he panics when he reads her note.

At the police station Ruby starts by confessing to the years of harrowing abuse her father put her through. And makes it very clear Caleb had nothing to do with Anthony’s disappearance. Meanwhile, in the village, Chas spirals when she hears about Ruby’s confession. The Anthony conspirators are all panicked.

The police arrive into the village ready to give Tracy some bad news. Oblivious to what’s coming Cain’s optimistic as he sets his hopes on a less stressful future.

In the hospital, Pollard doesn’t remember anything, and Jacob and Kerry urge him to consider some help at home. Feeling insulted and patronised, Eric remains resolute in continuing as normal. But with Eric now struggling with some everyday tasks Kerry takes matters into her own hands and calls a home-help company. After Eric has a further fall, he finally accepts he needs help.

Abi watches as Carl cosies up to Tracy and when he leaves, Abi makes out to Tracy that Carl’s a serial womaniser and she’d be best to steer well clear. Carl confronts Abi over her attempt to scupper his relationship with Tracy and accuses her of fancying him. Abi denies it and threatens to tell Kevin if he doesn’t back off. Carl tells Abi it’s time to be honest and as he moves in for a kiss, how will Abi react?

Sean wants to celebrate Dylan’s release with a lunch at the bistro, but Dylan suggests a low-key lunch at the café instead. As Brody enters the café, Sean promises Dylan that he’ll protect him, but Dylan tells him Brody’s the one who needs to watch out. When Dylan follows Brody to the ginnel, what will he do?

Eileen tells Jason that as tempting as it sounds, George would never move to Thailand. When Jason reveals what Eileen said to him, George is taken aback. George calls at the cab office and tells Eileen that he’s prepared to move to Thailand and he’s booked them a holiday, leaving tomorrow, so that they can do a recce. How will Eileen react?

Todd introduces Theo to Summer and Asha but when Asha enquires if Theo is his new man, how will Theo react? Tim tries to make amends with Sally but fails. After admitting that the pub accounts are a mess, Sally offers to lend her a hand. Sally confides in Glenda about Tim wanting to foster a child but is worried they’re too old. Will Glenda talk Sally round? Debbie struggles to count out her change in the shop but when Ronnie offers to help, she snaps at him assuring that she can manage.

Police investigate the shock death and the police station is busy as the murder probe gets fully underway.

Meanwhile a resident regains consciousness in hospital, but his improving condition is overshadowed by anger… Warren learns of Mercedes bowel cancer diagnosis. Warren tries to remind her of their past but will he make her warm to his charms?

Sienna is hopeful she can still get Victoria back as she visits Donny at the station, Later, Sienna makes a chilling discovery…

Kirby excitedly announces that a magazine want to do an article on her, following her around for a day in the life. The journalist, Seb, arrives, with a warning to Kirby that she better make this worth getting up so early for. Kirby takes on all the lessons at the surf shop, to keep her journalist interested, but he’s concerned that she doesn’t seem to have much time to work on music. She explains that she does some of her best writing when she’s out on the water by herself and Seb says he’d like to get some shots of that.

Kirby’s suddenly forced to ask for yet another favour from Mali. His blood starts to boil as he watches her taking advantage of her job throughout the day. At the end of a successful interview, he overhears her claiming to have designed some of the boards at the shop. It’s a step too far for Mali, and it doesn’t matter if the journalist overhears, he’s not having her walk all over him like this anymore. She’s fired. And she needs to get out.

Cash is ready to wish Tane well for the birth of his son, But Tane informs him Archie was born yesterday. Despite the exciting news, Tane explains that Harper asked him to leave her side at the hospital. Eden emerges from the bedroom, having overheard most of the sobering conversation. Cash delivers flowers to Harper and Archie, where he finds out Harper also went into emergency surgery after the birth – a detail Tane neglected to disclose. Harper asks how he is, but still doesn’t have the strength to do anything about the fact that he’s not good.

Tane’s friends try to coax him out of his room. Mackenzie pushes her way in to make sure he’s okay. Tane quietly misses his son. He’s gone to a lot of scary places in his mind, even wondering if he’ll have to put up a fight in court just to see his kid. Mackenzie urges him to not lose hope and asks if there is anything she can do. He hands her a gift, for his son, to be delivered to the hospital. When Mackenzie presents the gift to Harper, she claims she’s tired and should probably get some sleep. Before leaving, Mackenzie tells her the present is meant to be opened today. Unable to face it herself, Harper asks Dana if she can open it for her. Inside the box is a handwritten letter from Tane to Archie and a Korowai.

After hearing Dana read Tane’s letter aloud, Harper’s moved to tears. She invites Tane back to the hospital. As soon as he enters the room, he sees Archie in his Korowai and is met with a sincere apology from Harper. Archie is his son, he should be here.

Home and Away airs 1:45pm on Channel 5, at 6pm on 5STAR with first-look screenings of the following edition at 6:30 pm. The series also streams on 5.

As Jane and her children grapple with the news that Sadie is the trustee of Amanda’s will, Sadie looks for advice from Darcy. Desperate to keep his theh hidden, Darcy convinces Sadie to keep control of the trust herself. When Sadie tells Byron, Nicolege and Jane that she’s going to carry out Amanda’s wishes, Jane accepts her decision. But Byron and Nicolette can’t believe she would give away their Nanna’s money to strangers.

Conversations get heated, and despite Byron working hard to come to an agreement, Sadie stands her ground, with Wendy and Andrew’s support. Feeling like Byron is talking down to her, Sadie
blows up at him, the cracks in their relationship starting to grow.

Karl continues to pretend that he’s put his issues with Darcy in the past, but Susan remains uneasy – and although Darcy works to reassure, her suspicions clearly remain. Seeking a distraction, she heads over to see Wendy, admtting to her that while things have settled down with Darcy, it still feels unresolved – a feeling that only grows when she sees Karl maintain his ruse with Holly.

But when Susan leaves the room, Karl admits to Holly that he’s only keeping the peace until he can prove his suspicions. Karl’s intrigue grows when Holly reveals Amanda left Sadie in charge of her estate and that Darcy isn’t gaining at all.

He drops over to see Darcy under the guise of giving him some vegetables and is surprised to find Sadie there, seeking advice about Amanda’s will. When Sadie leaves, Darcy seems to accept that Amanda left him nothing. Karl isn’t convinced Darcy’s being honest, but when he begins to air his questions about Amanda’s death with Susan and Jane, Susan shuts him down – mindful of upsetting Jane. When Susan and Karl return home, and Karl muses about Darcy’s motivations, and Susan admits she’s finding it hard to read him right now. The next day, Karl admits to Holly that he’s been researching Darcy’s former business partner, Dr Anthony Halsworth, and plans to give him a call…
