Singer Engelbert Humperdinck arranged a surprise party for his parents’ 60th wedding anniversary at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Leicester on January 8th, as ATV Today reported the following evening.

The report features shots of guests arriving for the party at the hotel. Views inside showing the party in progress, cutting cake, mute shots of dancing. Extract from the toast made by Engelbert to his parents.

John Mitchell spoke to them about the surprise. Engelbert was no stranger to ATV having hosted his own self-titled music series from the Elstree Centre in the late 1960s and early 70s.
