Fantasy meets high-octane adventure in this exciting new live action and CGI series, Gormiti – The New Era, which premieres on BBC iPlayer later this month.
Featuring a cast of young, international talent, this high-quality reboot of the iconic animation series follows four young heroes who are called to save the fantasy realm of Gorm – and Earth itself – from war and destruction by harnessing the power of the elements. Working together, the four friends learn the importance of respecting nature, self-sacrifice and the power of friendship and unity against adversity as they transport the audience into the unique fantasy world of Gormiti.
The series chronicles the daily lives of four teenage friends from Earth – Skye, Glen, Carter and Zane – who are chosen to become “Scions” of the fantasy kingdom of Gorm. As its guardians, they must harness the powers of the elements to stop an evil lord and his army from ruling Gorm, helped by their personal Gormita – a legendary, brave warrior spirit. As they learn to embrace the virtues of courage, cooperation, curiosity and creativity, they come to understand what it truly means to be a hero.
The series stars Millie Fortunato Asquini as Skye; Federico Cempella as Zane; Robel Tesfamichael as Glen; Francesco Bertozzi as Carter; and Claire Palazzo as Myridell.
