Pick of the Plots: Easter Monday 2025

Easter Monday storylines from the UK and Australian soaps….

It’s Easter in the Square, and an egg hunt has been planned for the local youngsters.

Nigel seizes an opportunity to prove himself to an overprotective Phil when Yolande asks him to be the Easter bunny. Everything goes well until Nigel mistakes Hope for Clare and gets into an argument with Harvey. After the altercation, Jean, Harvey and Ian question Phil on Nigel’s wellbeing. Phil reluctantly tells them that Nigel has dementia. Back home, Phil makes a worrying discovery – Nigel intends to end his own life if his memory continues to deteriorate.

Meanwhile, Teddy tries to sneak in a call with Junior regarding their project, but when Nicola catches wind of the conversation, Teddy has to come clean about what he’s doing. Despite Nicola’s concerns, Teddy stands firm on going through with the business deal and later brings Ross on board to help with the construction.

Later, Nicola offers Teddy her support. However, she is shocked to hear the location of the site – it’s the same place where Shireen’s body is buried.

Elsewhere, Priya encourages Avani to spend time with her friends, but it is clear they are avoiding her. At McKlunky’s, Priya persuades Avani to have lunch with Barney, where the pair later make amends.

Also, Zack is deflated when Barney refuses his offer to help with Tommy and Joel. Teddy gives the Knights an update on The Vic rebuild, but it’s clear Kojo isn’t thrilled at the prospect of moving home.

A despondent Todd confides in Sarah that he suspects Theo will never have the guts to tell his family the truth about his sexuality. Danielle shares with George that she saw Sarah flirting with Kit when she’s going out with Todd, and George, finding it funny, clarifies Todd’s sexuality for her.

Later, when Danielle notices Sarah comforting Theo with a friendly arm around him, she connects the dots and quickly confronts Sarah about her affair with Theo right in front of Todd. Can Sarah get out of this one without telling the truth?

Meanwhile, Mick threatens Sean and spells out that if he causes Brody any more aggro, there will be hell to pay. Mick calls at The Rovers and tells Gemma that he and Lou would like her to join them for tea. Jenny warns Gemma she should steer well clear of the pair of them.

At the STC, Brody goads Dylan with homophobic comments about Sean. Dylan sees red and punches Brody, knocking him to the floor and kicking him. What will happen to Dylan?

When Sean overhears Lou confirming with Gemma what time she wants her to come round for dinner, he’s furious and accuses Gemma of siding with the enemy. Gemma feels terrible.

Elsewhere, Julie decides that she wants to spend the fundraiser money on a trip to the Lakes. In the café, she is clearly in a lot of pain, Roy gives her a heated wheat sack explaining that Hayley swore by them and she breaks down in tears. When Brian confides in Roy that he’s still very much in love with Julie, Roy urges him to tell her. How will Julie react?

Also, an apologetic Wes and Zoe call to see Dee Dee at the corner shop flat. Later, Dee Dee tells Alya that she had a very constructive meeting with them and they have agreed to push for extra training focusing on Black maternity experiences. Convinced that she’s turned a corner, Dee-Dee declares that she’s ready to return to work.

Jenny is thrilled when ‘Dom’ arrives in the Rovers. Christina explains to Daisy that it’s all part of her plan. When Dom confides in Jenny that he’s selling his business and anyone who invests in it in the next few days will be guaranteed to double their money she is clearly interested, unaware of Christina and Daisy’s subterfuge.

Bree and Remi invite Cash to breakfast, but it’s tense as he awkwardly declines. He says he has an appointment, but Eden’s skeptical – that’s the first she’s heard of it? Sonny teases Remi for his lack of male friends, especially given the ongoing conflict with Cash. He suggests they throw a party to bring everyone together and give Remi an opportunity to smooth things over. Despite being invited to the party, Cash still thinks a bit of distance would be a good thing – it’s a no from him.

Eden goes to Levi for perspective on why Cash can’t get over his grudge for Remi, while Bree challenges Remi on the nature of his previous apology. Could Cash have noticed the fact that it was ingenuine? Levi gets involved too, asking both Cash and Remi for help with a delivery. Now forced to be face to face, can the men sort out their conflict?

Marilyn catches Alf alone and raises her concerns about Roo and Eliza. Alf reminds her they need to support Roo in any way they can. She has been trying to establish a routine with Eliza in prep for her homeschooling, but it quickly proves to be difficult, and Eliza continues to show little interest – she just doesn’t see the point in it. Roo’s not about to back down and debriefs with Alf over Eliza’s lack of engagement. She’s determined to find something that interests her.

Levi passes them on his way out of Salt and Eliza jumps at the opportunity to ask him how he became a surgeon. A striking level of curiosity from her, out of nowhere… Roo takes Eliza’s interest in surgery as a potential win and encourages her to do some research of her own. With even the smallest amount of enthusiasm from Eliza, Roo can’t help but confess how proud she is of her foster child. Is Roo’s optimism a little on the blind side where it comes to Eliza?

Home and Away airs 1:45pm on Channel 5, at 6pm on 5STAR with first-look screenings of the following edition at 6:30 pm. The series also streams on 5.

As Krista, Aaron and Terese reel from the shock news that Leo has taken Abby and fled, Paul attempts to keep Rafe Fox at bay, buying time to find Leo. Eventually, he crumbles and admits to Terese he can’t bear the thought of losing another son… Meanwhile, when Krista and Aaron brainstorm potential locations Leo could have gone to, Krista discovers Isla is playing an online game with Abby on the iPad. Hitting on an idea, Krista manages to get Isla to ask Abby where she and Leo are, and she has their address.

Without telling anyone, Krista takes off to find Leo before he disappears for good…

Nell is tortured by her guilt over killing Seb, and when she learns that Leo’s case has taken a turn for the worse and he’s fled, believing he’ll end up in jail, Nell can’t take it anymore. She calls JJ and tells him that she’s going to confess to Terese that she was responsible for Seb’s death, not Leo… Unaware that Chelsea has heard her confession via the baby monitor…

Darcy is positive the information session for his health centre will be a success, counting on the numerous Eirini Rising residents who have committed to come along, to make it appear popular, if nothing else… But when Terese, prompted by Karl’s concerns, arranges an alternative outing, Darcy begins to fear the session will be a bust. While Karl ropes Remi into being an objective participant in the session and report back to him with any concerns, Chelsea ropes in her own participants to bolster the numbers. The session is a huge success and Darcy and Chelsea celebrate in the bedroom, while Karl’s dismayed when Remi doesn’t share his concerns.

Determined to convince Remi about her new career, Cara asks Andrew to help allay Remi’s fears about joining the police force. But Remi isn’t convinced. She wrangles Paul to drop the Compliance Officer responsibilities from Cara’s job, thinking this will change things, only to find out Cara’s sent in her resignation letter to Lassiters anyway… She may not have won Remi over on the police role yet, but she hopes to do so, and either way Lassiters is not her future

Following his assault, Mikey’s on edge around Jonathon who downplays everything, assuring his husband he just wants to move forward. Mikey spots an opportunity to make his escape and turns to Gillian for her help. Stunned to see her friend battered and bruised, Gillian urges Mikey to leave him once and for all.

Despite advice not to go back to the flat alone, Mikey insists he needs closure and wants to tell Jonathon it’s over face-to-face. With Gillian and Mulvaney by his side, Mikey confronts Jonathon who goes out of his way to manipulate the situation.

Elsewhere, Eddie is caught red-handed by Harry who is far-from-happy he’s been debt collecting for Tyler all along. Furious at Eddie’s intervention, Harry is resolute that Tyler needs to toughen up and this is the only way it’ll happen.

Harry warns Eddie not to interfere again – this is Foulkes family business and he’s not welcome.

Desperate for help, Alex turns to Roisin for advice about getting Lenny detained. Realising the only way this will happen is if Lenny harms himself or someone else, Alex floats a dangerous plan with Lydia and Amber.

However, they’re oblivious to the fact that Lenny is listening into their plotting on his secret CCTV. Worse still, Shaw stirs up Lenny’s fury and delusion, convincing him his family won’t stop until he’s dead.

Corrupt cop DI Banks urges Grace to focus on Frankie and Dillon, not her feud with Mercedes.

Frankie and Dillon are struggling with no money and a drug addiction. Concerned, Darren reaches out to Donny and Misbah and is shocked to learn they knew about Dillon’s previous trouble with Spice vapes. Misbah steps in to stop the arguing as the men blame each other. At Casa McQueen, Misbah tries talking to Dillon. With Dillon’s card being declined, Lucas steps in and pays and offers to cook his former love a meal.

Leela and Joel rekindle their relationship, but Joel forgets to inform Tommy that he can’t attend a game convention with him. Leela and Ste are shocked to see Tommy dressed as a wizard, staring up at her flat.

Rex convinces Frankie to speak with her dad, with Grace watching on. Darren opens up about his late friend Luke’s addiction, and Frankie admits the memories of JJ haunt her.
