Jimmy gets the bum show…
Comedy Central UK is to launch a comedy entertainment show, Jimmy Carr’s Am I The A**hole?. The eight-part series, devised and produced by Tuesday’s Child for Comedy Central UK, will see comedian Jimmy Carr as the host.
Jimmy Carr:
“Seems odd that anyone would ask me to host a show about a**holes. I should be grateful, but I feel a little insulted. I guess I’m an a**hole. Well, it takes an a**hole to know an a**hole so I’m the right man for the job. I’m very much looking forward to being Comedy Central’s Proctologist in Residence. There are an impressive number of a**holes in our country and they’re finally getting the recognition they deserve on national television.”
Am I the A**hole? (AITA) is one of Reddit’s favourite subreddits, with 24 million people worldwide in the online community. Since 2013, it has been the go-to place for people seeking judgment from strangers and asking each other to settle recent conflicts.
Jimmy Carr’s Am I The A**hole? will invite members of the public to come before host Jimmy Carr and a panel of two other comedians to ask their hilarious, controversial, and downright shocking ‘Am I the A**hole?’ questions. These questions will cover everything from jaw-dropping relationship disputes to the pettiest of family squabbles and stories of behaviours that are guaranteed to split opinion. With Jimmy having the final say, each potential a**hole will leave knowing once and for all whether or not they are ‘The A**hole’.
Steph Harris for Tuesday’s Child and Iestyn Barker for Comedy Central UK will serve as Executive producers alongside the creator of the Am I The A**hole subreddit, Marc Beaulac. This collaboration will ensure that show stays true to the spirit of the subreddit, bringing its distinctive brand of humour and judgement to a wider audience.
Jimmy Carr’s Am I The A**hole? will air in hour-long slots.
