Today’s storylines from the UK and Australian soaps…

Harvey is overwhelmed as the Square congratulate him on his engagement. The Slaters head to The Vic to officially announce the news at George and Elaine’s request.

Meanwhile, Ian and Kathy excitedly prepare for baby Jimmy’s welcome home party. At The Vic, the Walford residents gather to celebrate with the Beales, but an uninvited Cindy crashes the party.

Peter avoids Cindy, and feeling isolated once more, she chooses to reveal the video of Kathy and Harvey sharing a kiss during his engagement announcement with Jean for everyone to watch.

Meanwhile, Suki tries to talk to Avani about sleeping with Joel, but Avani storms out. Suki tries to share her concerns with Priya, but is quick to cover when she realises Ravi is in earshot.

Later, Suki finds a quiet moment to reveal all to Priya, but Ravi returns home mid-conversations and overhears everything. Ravi heads to No.43 to berate Joel and a fight ensues between Ross and Ravi.

When Mick sends Liam for bacon sarnies, he fails to come back. Gary and Maria find him skulking in the café, where Liam opens up about how Mick locked him in the tool shed. Maria’s horrified.

Gary returns to the yard to find Mick looking for something in the shed. Gary locks him in and gives him a taste of his own medicine before telling Mick he’s fired.

Mick later corners Gary outside and punches him to the ground. Grabbing an empty bottle, Gary staggers to his feet, but suddenly Kit steps between them, ordering Gary to drop the bottle and let Mick go. Will Gary agree?

Meanwhile, in the Bistro, Abi and Debbie order soft drinks with lunch, but when Ronnie enters, Debbie changes to a large vodka. As a drunken Debbie staggers to the loos, Abi calls Carl for help. As Carl arrives, drunken Debbie tells Abi she’s had some bad news.

Elsewhere, in the café, Betsy rounds on Lauren over her treatment of Bobby. A row ensues and Lauren accidentally squirts ketchup all over Roy. Lauren explains to Aadi that Frankie has been discharged from hospital and her next mission is to find a job.

Also, Glenda tells Carla she’s short staffed at the pub. Will Carla find a new barmaid? Kit apologises to Sarah for neglecting her recently and invites her for dinner.

Moira finally shows Ross the mysterious letter. The news that he has a half-brother whom he’s never met throws him off balance.

Moira’s concerned to see Ross wants to bury his head in the sand over it.

Meanwhile, Mack feels left out.

Elsewhere, Bear worries for his future when he sees that Mandy and Paddy have boxed up his possessions.

Darren puts out the fire and with Nancy at breaking point Frankie quietly slips away. Darren spots Rex with Dillon and things turn physical as Darren demands answers. Dillon leaves a heartbreaking message for Lucas. Ste tries to comfort his son.

Meanwhile, Grace denies involvement in the firebomb to Frankie and promises to help her escape.

At the market, Dodger breaks up the fight between Darren and Rex. Rex confides in Dodger and admits he’s trying to protect the teens. Dodger has some frank facts to share. Lucas receives comforting advice from unlikely resident, Myra, later Lucas speaks to Ste about plans for the future. Elsewhere Freddie lumbers up the courage to propose. Reassuring words to Nancy strikes a cord with Freddie and  he ponders what his priorities are at the moment.

Grace isn’t all as she seems and a plan goes into action.  Also, Ste urges Leela to reach out to Joel to help with baby Noah.

Summoned to a brawl outside the surf club, Cash arrives to intervene, sirens blazing. Eden, down from her shift at Salt is having no luck telling the unruly group to leave, and chaos continues as they chaotically push and shove one another. Cash and the police have to forcedly shut down the fight, and Cash places the ring leader of the group, Gage, under arrest. One of the girls (Lacey) tries to defend Gage, but when Eden speaks up, Cash pulls her away, flagging the tattoos they’ve both noticed – this group, and its leader are River Boys.

In the station, Cash clashes with Gage who brings up Cash’s sister, a sore point. Cash gets little information, but is determined to learn more about the reports of street racing. He returns home while Eden helps ice his wounds, he gives words of encouragement over her feeling dejected over her career – he didn’t fall in love with a bass player, or a barmaid, he fell in love with her.

During the fight, Theo recognises Lacey from Gage’s warehouse and takes her for a drink. Though they’re both aware she‘s dating Gage, the chemistry between them is clear. After his arrest, Gage offers Sonny and Theo another job and the money is too good to turn down, especially as Sonny is trying to pay Remi back. At the tracks, cars drift and handfulls of money are exchanged. Sonny and Theo are greeted by Lacey, and then Gage, who orders them to work.

When Gage learns one of his drivers has backed out, he gets cagey and short with Sonny and then Lacey. Theo steps up, volunteering himself as a replacement. He jumps in and gives Gage’s car a hefty rev, reminded by Gage – you break it, I break you. Engines are soon fired up and Theo sets off against another driver. It’s neck and neck, but Theo breaks through, victorious. Lacey is especially impressed and the two of them scurry away as another race commences. Finally they are alone and the heat is on….

Justin catches Marilyn on the phone pretending to be Roo. She‘s fishing for information on Eliza’s past. When she returns late from her break with a grave expression, she explains to both Leah and Justin that she visited Eliza’s former foster parents. They told Marilyn that they suspect it was Eliza who started the fire that destroyed their home and resulted in Eliza going back into foster care where she was taken in by Roo…

Home and Away airs 1:45pm on Channel 5, at 6pm on 5STAR with first-look screenings of the following edition at 6:30 pm. The series also streams on 5.

Terese and Paul both feel a distance growing between them as Terese’s jealousy of Chelsea mounts. But when Paul agrees to a trust fund for Thomas, unknowingly allowing Chelsea to pay Jeffrey to stay far away from their happy family bubble, all Chelsea sees is proof that Paul returns her feelings…

Darcy counters Karl’s accusations, but while Susan is satisfied with his explanations, Karl can’t shake the idea that Darcy has an answer – and a lie – for everything. Recognising that he’ll never be able to sway Karl to his side, Darcy goes nuclear to take him out of the equation, swapping Karl’s herbal pain medication for strong opioids.

When Remi and Cara shoot down Dex’s request to go halves in expensive basketball sneakers for his birthday, Taye swoops in with a surprise pair. Dex is thrilled but confused, knowing Taye never has cash to spare. Taye confesses that he has a lucrative new side hustle but, when Cara and Remi see the sneakers, he chickens out and begs Dex not to say anything, forcing Dex to lie to his mums: a steeper price than he was interested in paying for these shoes.
