Pick of the Plots: Thursday February 9th

SoapWorld takes a look at the goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Thursday.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

The Carters are under pressure following Babe’s antics. A livid Shirley rounds on Babe while Johnny is also unimpressed by her actions. Babe attempts to make amends to the family but is it too late? Meanwhile, hoping that a night out will prove a boost for Lee, Whitney goes to desperate lengths to get some money.

Jack grows paranoid at Glenda’s intentions but his mind turns elsewhere when he attends the inquest for Ronnie and Roxy’s death. Meanwhile, Glenda does her best to support Amy but her efforts are unappreciated by Jack.

Elsewhere, Louise pushes Bex to stay away from Shakil; Stacey realises what Martin really gets up to at the allotment.

EastEnders, Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Sarah opens up about the woman in the barn after she is accused of pilfering, however it soon emerges that the mystery barn occupant has relocated to the B&B where she is found in a bad way. An ambulance is called. The identity of the woman soon becomes apparent, leaving Cain perturbed.  

Laurel struggles as she prepares for Ashley going into full time care. The situation is made harder by Ashley’s confusion. After the Thomas family share a heart-warming last supper together, Laurel breaks down.

Elsewhere, Rhona tells Pierce she’s not keen on his rough advances; Rakesh gets a job in a call centre and impresses Priya when he stands up to Nicola.

Emmerdale, Thursday at 7pm and 8pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Lisa is fretful that the hit and run isn’t over with, however Mac plays down her concerns – but when the campervan they believed had been crushed surfaces in the dog carpark, it seems Lisa was right to be worried.

Jack goes to court for sentencing and pleads guilty. Darren is delighted when he is released. However, Frankie is the one having an affair with Diego.

Elsewhere, Diane reassures Lily that she’s not having an affair, but she’s definitely hiding something. Adam upsets Maxine but later makes things up to her after some prodding from Liam.

Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.


Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

Emma is having lunch with Lena at the Botanical Gardens. They giggle about ‘great minds’ when they discover they bought the same picnic items. Emma and Lena talk about their combined efforts in bringing The League to justice. They definitely make a great team. After a while, Emma opens up about Howard and her miscarriage. Lena soon manages to lift Emma’s spirits again. As they part, Emma smiles and suggests a selfie as a record of such a lovely lunch. She sends it to Lena and they both agree they look good together…

Al’s in a foul mood. So when Mrs Tembe needs I.T help, Al refuses to do it. When Mrs Tembe returns later to ask Al to cover one of Jimmi’s clinics next week, Al reveals the real reason he is angry.

Doctors, Thursday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
