Pick of the Plots: Monday August 14th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Monday.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Eva’s conscience is pricked by Aidan’s enthusiasm over the scan photo, and she tells Leanne she’s cooling on her revenge plans. Later, however, Eva gets Jenny’s back up when she moots a double wedding with her and Johnny. Adam suggests Eva get away for a while using Stella as an excuse. Eva’s touched by his support and Adam leans in for a kiss.

Rita isn’t happy with Gemma for allowing her friends to get up to no good in her flat. The tension between them subsides when Gemma finds out that Rita has pushed Jenny to have her as a bridesmaid. However, the pair fail to notice that Rita has forgotten to secure The Kabin – affording Gemma’s unsavoury friends the opportunity to get up to more mischief.

Elsewhere Chesney snaps at Cathy who is trying to do him a good turn; Gina’s interest is piqued when Sally mentions how Rita once helped her out of debt; Norris is aghast when Mary reveals that Jude’s flying his family over for their wedding.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Phil’s suspicions are aroused when he receives a generous offer on the car lot land. Phil opens up to Kathy and later tells Sharon he’s had a change of heart about selling and wants to look after his family. With Sharon by his side, Phil pays a visit to Ben and tells him he’s giving him the Arches. Sharon is shocked however when he leaves the car lot land to Jay.  

Things remain tense at the Vic and in need for new staff, Linda decides to give Keanu a go to Fi’s chagrin. Fed up of Linda’s attitude, Fi makes the decision to talk to Linda and despite Linda’s stubbornness; she starts to open up to Fi.  

Elsewhere Max is surprised when Carmel blurts out that she loves him; Mr Pryce moves into no.5.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.

SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Emma panics when Finn explains he’s clearing out Wylie’s farm this week. Later, Finn unexpectedly discovers an agitated Emma at Wylie’s and sees her pocket a note. She covers but Finn’s suspicious. Later, Finn finds two pieces of a note with the words ‘I do not’ written on them. Meanwhile, Laurel and Ross cross paths at the graveyard and Ross is confrontational but is he just trying to convince himself?

Although Megan voices her concerns to Charity about their neighbours becoming collateral damage of their plan to bring down Frank, she continues to plot against oblivious Frank.

Elsewhere Leyla’s worried the wedding will be a washout.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Grace tracks down Tracey. Mother and daughter discuss the past and Tracey finally tells Grace she loves her. However, her timing could be better as soon the police arrive to arrest her for trying to kill Darcy at the dinner party. Later, Tracey is released with Maxine and Grace’s help.

Sienna panics when she finds out that her operation has been brought forward to tomorrow whilst Joel pushes Warren to support her. Meanwhile, the blackmailer posts a letter addressed to Sienna.

Elsewhere Hunter is frustrated seeing Mac and Neeta together; Courtney urges Tegan to get a job.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
