Nicola has some questions for Phelan after visiting an old friend of her parents, but he’s distracted by Daniel whom he witnesses attending the nursing home once more – this time with a birthday cake for Mrs McArdle.
After turning the nursing home situation to his advantage, Phelan gets in contact with Cindy’s husband stirring the pot about Daniel. Later, Phelan fondles a hand gun – Andy’s replacement will get what’s coming to him soon.
Elsewhere, Todd and Adam are arrested for burglary; Kate’s surprised to learn that Zeedan and Rana are getting legally married and visits Rana to find out what’s going on; there’s tension between Liz and Toyah at the Rovers and the Appletons descend on No.3.

Daniel and Zara go on a night out but their role-playing antics soon lead to tension. Seeing Daniel talking to two attractive woman is the final straw for Zara, but she witnesses a stabbing whilst leaving the venue in a huff.
The perpetrator sees her, comes towards her, bloodied knife in hand, tells her he has seen her face, and runs off. Zara runs to the stab victim and tends to him. As he is taken away in an ambulance, the event brings Daniel and Zara back together.
