Robert arrives back in the Bistro, doing his best to mask his pain. When an issue arises with the meat order, Robert snaps at Zeedan, before later collapsing in the Bistro kitchen. Horrified, Michelle calls an ambulance. Robert also breaks the news to Michelle that he lost every last penny at the casino. How will she react to the revelation?
Meanwhile, as David prepares Lily for her nativity play, a downcast Sarah asserts that she hates Christmas. Later, Shona drops a bombshell on Sarah.
Elsewhere, Alya is annoyed with Aidan; Mary is on the road to forgiveness; Tyrone pines for his old mate Kirk; and Norris and Mary are in grandparental bliss.

Mick spots Aidan being mugged and invites him into the pub. The pair quickly strike up a friendship and Aidan hints about his shady past, dangling a carrot for Mick to ask more; their encounter leaves Mick intrigued and Aidan with an idea. Aidan suggests to Phil that Mick might be helpful on their job
Karen is defensive when the school call to ask why Riley and Chatham aren’t going on the school trip. Knowing how disappointed they’ll be, Bernadette desperately tries to come up with the money by helping Martin out on the stall and securing herself with a paper round. However she is disappointed when she realises she won’t have the cash in time
Elsewhere, Carmel is still keeping a low profile after being humiliated by Max.

At Dale View, a drunken Pete tumbles down the stairs and lies in a heap, unconscious. Ross later returns and calls an ambulance.

Ayesha notices Ruhma loading up her medical bag with a lot of supplies and ponders the purpose. Later Ayesha looking for something in the nurses’ room cupboard and chances upon the full cache of supplies that Ruhma has been squirrelling away. She jokingly asks if she’s selling NHS supplies on the black market. Ruhma is aghast at the accusation.
Later, finds Ruhma taking a portable blood pressure machine; hers is broken and she’ll bring it back Monday. Ayesha tells Ruhma she could get into deep trouble if the stocks don’t add up. Ruhma asks her to trust her; she has her reasons.
