Pick of the Plots: Monday December 18th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.

Anna is determined to find evidence proving Phelan is framing her and breaks into the builder’s yard. But when she hears footsteps she panics. Later, Phelan blames Anna when Eileen is rushed to hospital.

Aidan fumes when Adam makes a show of heading off to the Bistro to meet Matthew Singh about his purchase of Underworld. Aidan storms into the Bistro and drunkenly lays into Eva, Adam and Matthew. Adam stands up to him and Aidan leaves, humiliated.

Elsewhere, Chesney is thrown by Daniel’s next move; Robert learns that his tumour was cancerous but has been entirely removed and didn’t spread; the search is on to find Leanne a date; Fiz gets word that her mum is in hospital and needs her over Christmas.

Tina is shocked when she thinks she’s pregnant with Billy’s baby and shares her fears with Shirley. When Tina goes to buy a pregnancy test, she bumps into Billy who is horrified when he realises what she’s buying.

Mick and Linda discuss moving to Elaine’s temporarily while Mick sorts out something more permanent. Linda asks for details on his ‘plan’ but Mick tells her that he wants to keep it as a surprise leaving her intrigued. Meanwhile, Vincent has second thoughts about Aidan’s job but is soon talked back round. Later, he agrees to try for another baby with Kim.

Elsewhere, Abi turns to Stacey for advice.

A villager is arrested for Emma’s murder.

Debbie feels bad that she can’t afford the phone Sarah wants for Christmas and is conflicted when Tom orders it on her behalf.

Ryan is worried as Amy’s murder case is reopened.

Having spent the night together, Luke puts his heart on the line for Mandy but when she rushes into town he thinks she’s running away from him. He’s unaware she’s planning to propose.

Elsewhere, Tony and Diane clash; James is intrigued when Ellie suggests Sami might fancy him. He later returns home to find a battered and bruised Harry.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
