Pick of the Plots: Monday January 15th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

When Tim and Gary reveal that Anna’s court case may be postponed as Seb’s done a runner, Faye’s worried sick about him, as is Eileen who’s overheard. As Eileen sets off in her car, Phelan watches his suspicions aroused. At the prison, Anna quizzes Eileen about Seb and warns her to watch her back as Phelan will turn on her one day. However, Eileen puts her doubts to bed after a chat with Alya.

Sarah’s taken aback as Bethany admits she’s been deleting Gary’s texts as she’s better off without him. Later, Craig and Jess are called to a disturbance at a lap dancing club. Bethany, in lap dancing gear, is horrified to see Craig. Craig’s appalled but Bethany tells him that if he can’t accept her job, then it’s over between them.

Elsewhere, Eva’s horrified when she takes a pregnancy test and it comes back positive; Peter and Leanne row over Simon’s behaviour.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Max’s family are concerned about his continued stance that Abi can be saved despite what the doctors have said. With Max threatening the doctor, a frustrated Lauren steps in and gives her dad a harsh reality check.

Following Tiffany’s revelation (that Bianca tried to kill herself), Whitney tests the water with Sonia to see if she’s heard anything. Later, Whitney decides to go to Milton Keynes but when Tiffany realises what’s going on, she chases to stop her and almost gets run over. Whitney calms Tiffany down and tells her she can stay but remains suspicious.

Elsewhere, Masood moves in with Mariam and Arshad but is taken back when they ask for rent money. After securing a job at the Vic, Mas lies to his aunt and uncle.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Robert is muddling his way through.

Moira confides in Ross the police have found a body which they think might be Adam’s. Ross encourages her to find out for sure and supports her as the police return. Ross holds Moira up as she breaks down in relief but once the police have left, Moira, unable to live with the guilt, confesses to Ross she murdered Emma. In his anger, he pins her violently to the wall but Pete arrives and stops him. How will Pete react when he learns the truth?

Elsewhere, Bob is delighted when Lydia persuades an uneasy Brenda into planning her wedding.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Tegan’s life hangs in the balance in hospital. Ryan threatens Ste to keep quiet, prompting Ste to call his dealer.

Glenn and Shane continue to keep Grace in the dark. Later, she thinks she’s helping Glenn by hiring Jesse as a delivery driver unaware he’ll be delivering drugs.

Elsewhere, Granny Campbell wants Courtney to move back to Edinburgh with her but Peri helps Courtney regain control; Maggie asks Scott to help her die.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Valerie and Karen play with some buttons that have appeared underneath reception. , Valerie is aghast when she finds out one of the buttons is to call the police in case of emergency. Their lunch plans are thwarted when Mrs Tembe tells them she has booked a trainer, Scotty, who is coming in at lunch for some role-play. Karen is indignant; they don’t need teaching how to run a reception.

Zara can’t believe this seems to take priority over finding a replacement for Mrs Tembe whilst she’s in Botswana.

Doctors, Monday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
