Pick of the Plots: Thursday May 3rd
We take a look at the latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.
It’s Billy’s birthday but he’s in no mood to celebrate and things grow worse when he feels Mel’s wrath after messing up at work. Jack and Woody witness the exchange and are taken back by Mel’s brashness towards Billy but she later shows a flash of conscience when she plans to host a surprise party for Billy. However Mel’s method of trying to persuade Honey to come along backfires and at the party, Billy gives her a piece of his mind for interfering.
Mel is shocked by his outburst and storms off only to be confronted by Jack who convinces her to make things up to Honey. As Jack and Mel continue to bicker, one thing leads to another and they are soon ripping each other’s clothes off. Meanwhile, after the incident with Mel, Billy pays a visit to Honey and she lets him spend the evening with the children. Billy pushes his luck and leans in for a kiss.
Elsewhere, the feud between Max and Phil continues; Kush returns from Dubai but avoids telling Denise his news when he finds out that Vincent’s left Kim.
EastEnders, Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
Noah asks Joe to take him to the places he hung out with their dad. He reads Joe’s awkwardness as hesitance and storms off. Joe grabs a mountain bike to go after him. Noah rides his bike through the woods with Joe in pursuit.
Joe catches up with Noah at the edge of a quarry. They share their thoughts and bond. Noah dares Joe to jump off the edge and Joe impulsively does it. When he doesn’t resurface, Noah’s left terrified his brother is dead…
Elsewhere, Belle is being tormented by voices; Priya’s concerned about the health and safety risks of brewing in the barn.
Emmerdale, Thursday at 7pm and 8pm on ITV, STV and UTV.
Alfie returns home after being out all night, he bumps into Yazz and reveals that he slept with some girl from the bar. Yazz relays this to Sami who later reveals all at The Dog.
Farrah confides in Grace that she is planning on helping Ryan escape, Grace takes her to DS Roxy who agrees to help as long as Farrah wears a wire so they can find out where Kim is. Later, Farrah helps Ryan escape but he still won’t give up Kim’s location, and he’s on to her setting him up.
Elsewhere, Ste confesses to Tegan he can’t stop thinking about Ryan, meanwhile Harry is at home with an engagement ring. Zack intercepts a text from Damon to Holly.
Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
In the staff room Zara mocks Daniel for getting involved with yet another one of Jimmi’s wives, while Emma is disturbed that Amanda has been lying to her this whole time. Daniel recalls what he knows about Jimmi’s first wife; they met when he was vulnerable, she put him through medical school, it was quite a controlling relationship, but he’s not sure how it ended. Zara finds all of this fascinating, Emma finds it disturbing. But the questions on all their lips: Why is she back? And what is she after?
At the Icon Amanda opens up to Jimmi about her life being a mess and needing an old friend. She tells him about her husband, her soul mate, who died and whose children then cut her out of everything. In turn Jimmi tells her that it never worked out with Sarah, as Amanda tries to sound regretful about it, Jimmi reminds her that she did everything to break them up – including pretending to have cancer. Meanwhile, Emma leaves a voicemail on Amanda’s phone telling for to get her stuff and leave.
Amanda enquires as to Jimmi’s other loves in his life, he says little but admits to being betrayed. She’s sad for him, but can’t help flirting and telling him that he’s still cute. He can’t help smiling at this. When she finally gets Emma’s message, she suggests a night cap, at Jimmi’s. When back at Jimmi’s house, she makes her move, and this time Jimmi doesn’t resist, in no time at all they are tearing each other’s clothes off.
