Pick of the Plots: Tuesday July 31st

The latest goings on in River City, EastEnders, Emmerdale, and Hollyoaks.

Theresa’s lies begin to unravel. The Murdochs are divided when they receive life-changing news. Meanwhile, the battle between Suzie and AJ comes to a head.

River City, Tuesday at 8pm on BBC One Scotland.

Jean is horrified when after Hayley decides to take the moped out with Kat, they have an accident and fall off the bike. When Hayley has a funny turn, Kat insists she visits A&E. Hayley worries Kat will find out she’s pregnant. Later, Hayley is relieved to hear the baby is fine.

Meanwhile, Hunter starts his job at the restaurant and Ian tries to get the inside scoop on Mel and Jack. When Ian admits to Masood he thinks he’ll marry Mel within a year, he doesn’t realise Hunter has overheard.

Elsewhere Billy and Jay interview potential housemates. Billy changed the advert to try and get Jay to meet more women, with one of the candidates being a surprise hit.

EastEnders, Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One.

Haunted by memories and mistakes, Graham’s past is revisited with flashbacks. In the present day at Home Farm, a drunken Graham is haunted by his visualisations of his dead wife. As he continues to lose himself in drink he talks to her.

Soon, Graham is out of control in the village and when Frank tries to intervene, a fight ensues. Cain arrives and Graham sees red, raring for a proper fight. Graham shoves Chas aside to get to Cain and she falls over. Has Graham pushed it too far? Before long, Joe finds Graham and attempts to console him, gutted by the depth of his self-loathing. But Graham loses control and charges at Joe. Just how far will Graham go?

Meanwhile, Sam comes clean to Samson that he helped Alice to die. Samson lashes out at Lydia pushing her down the stairs. At the hospital, Sam is anxious as he waits for news on Lydia. Lydia starts to panic when the doctor examines a suspicious mole on her leg but later covers her worries from Sam. 

Emmerdale, Tuesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Grace confronts Glenn about the picture he took of her while she was sleeping, Glenn tells Grace he will keep going until he finds out who her other lover is. Kim confronts Grace but terrified Glenn will hear she drags Kim in to the loft.

Meanwhile, Ellie and Sami are bickering over baby names, they agree to let Marnie pick one out of a hat but while Marnie and Ellie are distracted Sami rigs the draw.

Elsewhere, Romeo and Prince are planning the rave, but in the process Romeo continues to flirt and annoy Lily to breaking point, she secretly cancels their beer delivery.

Hollyoaks, Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
