Pick of the Plots: Thursday August 16th
The latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, and Hollyoaks.
Keen to instil some discipline into him, Phil insists that Dennis join him at the arches for the day but on the way, Dennis spots Stix nearby and goads him behind Phil’s back. Phil tells Dennis that he’s had enough of his spoilt behaviour and sets him the task of fixing Sharon’s trinket box. Later, Phil leaves Dennis to lock up by himself, but Dennis is terrified when the gang return and corner him.
Meanwhile, Keanu is taken aback when a flirtatious Hayley reveals that she’s pregnant. Later on, Phil sends him over to help Sharon fix the sink but he gets soaked in the process.
Elsewhere, Max reels when Rainie admits her true feelings and is further taken aback when Jessica joins him and offers some insight into Rainie; Jack gets a reality check from Rainie but Mel doesn’t want to know; and Ted finds another note from his late wife but is stunned by its contents.
EastEnders, Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
Megan and Frank fail to notice a drip coming from the car they have bought from Ross as they drive it away. Soon their lives hang in the balance when the car ends upside down in a ditch.
Meanwhile, Ross has organised a party and Pete is concerned about his drug fuelled brother. How will Ross react when he hears about Megan and Frank? And also what will Cain do when he hears about it?
Elsewhere, Victoria jealousy observes Matty’s interaction with a girl at Ross’s party; Chas and Paddy meet Joanne who shares her experience; Ross hides his disappointment at Pete’s intention to move in with Rhona; Dan feigns surprise when Kerry tells him their rent hasn’t been paid and Amelia plots to run away with Beth.
Emmerdale, Thursday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.
It’s the day of Dirk’s funeral and Milo is trying to get his hands on the camcorder footage before Cindy plays it at the wake. Milo finds out that the video has already been burnt to a DVD, and tries to destroy the disc but Dennis catches him in the act. Later, a distraught Milo tells Cindy and Liberty that he killed Dirk.
Meanwhile, Nancy goes into work to support the kids who are getting their A-Levle results, leaving Darren free to meet up with Mandy. Mandy is upset following the funeral, and they end up sleeping together. Nancy returns home just as Mandy leaves, feeling frisky her and Darren also sleep together.
Elsewhere, Tom opens his A-Level results – he passes with 2 A* and a B!
Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
