Pick of the Plots: Monday September 17th

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Unaware that they are both seeing the same guy, Toyah and Leanne each arrange a night out with Imran. Meanwhile, Sally finds a list of names that Imran has dropped in the cafe but as she arrives at the solicitors’ office she overhears Adam advising Imran that he can’t continue sleeping with both sisters, and she also overhears him say he has lost the list of witnesses for Duncan’s case, the very list she has in her hand. Later, Sally tells the sisters what Imran has been up to and a furious Leanne and Toyah decide to teach Imran a lesson.

Meanwhile, Tyler and his mates steal Simon’s bag and rip up his homework. Peter seeks out and confronts Tyler’s mum Vicky who makes it clear she blames Simon for her son being in prison. Later, Peter is furious when Carla gives Tyler’s mum Vicky a job at the factory.

Elsewhere, Hannah and Steve provide swabs for a DNA test; Evelyn proves to be a difficult house guest; Adam is collared by drug dealer Ronan who wants him to find his son a job; Ken reveals he’s started writing short fiction.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

The Carters are relieved when they learn the doctors are going to try and bring Stuart round; now he can tell the police what really happened. Despite the update, Shirley remains adamant that Dylan is responsible and hatches a plan to prove it. Later, Halfway is horrified when Stuart says it was Mick who shot him.

Meanwhile, Kush continues to feel resentment towards Sophie and orders her to leave. However, an angry Carmel overhears and insists it’s time they moved forward, especially after meeting Bruno and seeing his remorse. Kush gives his mum an ultimatum.

Elsewhere, Stacey receives a cryptic text from an unknown number telling her to go to the E20. 

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

The nurse asks a distrustful Rebecca to repeat what she told her about Lachlan. Rebecca is confused until the nurse reveals she has seen the news, Lachlan’s been arrested. Panicked, the nurse tells Rebecca it will all be over soon, but Rebecca’s alarmed to see her preparing a syringe.

Meanwhile, Robert visits Lachlan in prison looking for answers on Rebecca’s whereabouts. Lachlan toys with Robert and reveals his plot to kill him and Liv. Robert is stunned when Lachlan then reveals that he didn’t kill Rebecca. Robert implores Lachlan to do the right thing…

Before long, Robert breaks into the room where Rebecca was being held but is horrified to find it empty and signs of a struggle. He phones the police, close to breaking.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Imran is angry when a family lunch gets in the way of a date he had planned for Brooke. Yazz decides to drug him to calm him down, but realises the pills have run out. She decides to pick up the prescription without her mum’s knowledge but the pharmacist becomes suspicious…how will Yazz explain this one?

Meanwhile, Breda decides to try and help her son out and play cupid when she spots a bit of chemistry between Mercedes and Sylver.

Elsewhere, Cindy has a new unwelcome house guest; it’s clear Mac is still as twisted as ever.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Unaware that Heston is in earshot, Sid tells Emma that he’s looking forward to the afternoon’s minor surgery training but he’s dreading working with Heston and his surgeon sized ego.

Later, Heston and Sid meet course tutor Andy Wallington and to Sid’s relief, Heston asks him not to mention his surgical credentials – he’s determined to prove him wrong. However, as the course goes on, Heston struggles to keep a lid on his arrogance and is asked to leave.

Elsewhere, Ayesha goes on another date with Leo but things get awkward when he brings up kids.

Doctors, Monday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
