Pick of the Plots: Thursday September 20th
The latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.
The Carters reel from Mick’s arrest and soon, it all soon becomes too much for Linda who storms to the hospital and accuses Stuart of lying but she is quickly ushered out by the police. Linda begs Zara to believe her but Zara deals a crushing blow to the Carters…
Meanwhile, Hayley’s mum Bev turns up at the Slater’s to a frosty welcome from Hayley and Kat, who tell her to get lost. Hayley is furious when she learns it was Jean who was inadvertently behind Bev’s arrival but when Jean hands her some flowers from Bev, she decides to hear her out.
Later, Bev and Hayley head to the E20 where Bev reveals why she really came– leaving Hayley livid; she hasn’t changed a bit. The pair argue and Bev storms off but as she gets into a cab, Hayley begs for her mum’s help when she worries she’s losing the baby. Bev ignores her daughter’s pleas.
Elsewhere, Kush spots Sophie at the market and reminds her she’s not welcome. Martin, surprised by Kush’s hostility, calms him down. Later, Kush decides to hear Sophie out.
EastEnders, Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
Out with Moses, Ross takes out a small bag of drugs and is soon full of energy as he plays football with his son until he suddenly collapses to the ground in agony clutching his chest. As Ross passes out, Moses heads off towards the bridge…
Meanwhile, Cain reminds Moira that Matty can’t know the truth, but both are unaware that Matty is listening in.
Elsewhere, Ellis and Jessie argue.

Brooke has taken the news about what happened to Ollie badly, believing she could have stopped it. Darren and Nancy try to speak to her about she is feeling but she runs off to school. They decide to read Brooke’s diary to find out how she is…
It’s the first day back at school, Ollie enters with Imran and Brooke it is clear everyone is whispering about him. Imran and Ollie decide to bunk off school.
Elsewhere, Diane tells Tegan she doesn’t have a say in what treatment Dee Dee will be given, and Diane wants to go through with the chemotherapy. In response, Tegan hires James…

Daniel is still pondering Melissa’s offer, he fobs off a curious Zara and then Melissa calls – she has a slot next Tuesday. Before accepting, Daniel subtly tries to canvas opinion, unaware that Zara is listening as he does so. Zara initially finds the whole thing hilarious but then gives Daniel her backing.
Meanwhile, Mrs Tembe bins a shiny Sutton Vale flyer as Sid arrives to see her – she wants to know if he really would take a job with Mr Smail. Sid’s response is frustratingly non-committal and when she overhears him waxing lyrical to Valerie and Ruhma she becomes increasingly concerned – made worse by a call from Mr Smail himself – asking for a reference for Sid.
Mrs Tembe approaches Heston, who reassures her that Sid is going nowhere. Mrs Tembe isn’t convinced and snaps at Ayesha when she is late for afternoon clinic. It’s bad timing, for Ayesha gets an unexpected phone call from Mr Smail asking her to come in for a chat – he’s heard great things about her. Ayesha is delighted to be headhunted and agrees.
