Pick of the Plots: Thursday October 11th

The latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Stacey is worried about Ruby, even more so after hearing from Martin that his friends are insisting that what happened was consensual. She goes to the police station to seek advice. Pained by memories of her own ordeal, Stacey later tells Ruby that there’s still time to go to the clinic before deciding what to do about the police. Ruby agrees.

Meanwhile, Mel is thrilled when Ray gives her an anniversary surprise but her mind turns elsewhere when Jack informs her he has news. Trusting Ray, Mel tells Jack she doesn’t want to know; unaware that Ray is watching them from across the Square. Back home, Ray questions Mel about the exchange, and her admission that wanted information on Jeff leads to an argument.

Later in The Vic, there’s still tension between Mel and Ray but the pair finally come round and join one another for a drink. However, Mel’s suspicions are again piqued when Ray dashes off after taking a call.  She pays Jack a visit – what does he know? Later, Mel puts two and two together and realises where Ray went. As she goes to find him, she makes a shocking discovery.

Elsewhere, Bernadette is humiliated after Tiffany invites her to hang out with the gang; Billy meddles in Honey’s love life.

EastEnders, Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

As the masquerade ball continues, there’s no let-up in Kim’s bitchiness as she continues to insult those in attendance.

Kim heads upstairs and soon after there’s a piercing scream as she tumbles over a balcony and lands on a champagne fountain below. Who pushed Kim and will she live to tell the tale?

As the guests make their way to leave, they are forced to stay put by the police who want to question them.

Emmerdale, Thursday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Louis is struggling to keep his three women secret, when him and Leela go shopping in Price Slice it is awkward between them and Simone. Later Martine catches Louis kissing Leela and tells him that he has to tell Leela the truth, or she will.

The Lovedays decide to throw a party for Lisa who is due to return today. However, Lisa has her passport stolen on the way to the airport, so her return is delayed. Martine turns up at the party.

Elsewhere, Grace fills Glenn in on her plans for their final job before they go to Spain, she convinces him to get Jay on board, little does he know she has a different plan in mind. Farrah carries out a doctor’s report on Glenn and discovers he’s planning to move to Spain with Grace.

Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Emma pops round to tell James a local businessman would like to meet him and if all goes well James might have a job by the end of it. James is apprehensive but Rob and Karen persuade him to at least try. As Karen wonders if James should be on medication for his autism, Rob ponders the antidepressants he has been taking – should he be thinking about coming off them? Later at the Icon, Karen and Rob watch nervously from a distance as Ivan greets James.

Meanwhile, Zara is fired up when she finds a letter in Joe’s bag inviting the children to be elected for school councillor. Initially not keen, Joe soon decides to put in for it. He has to come up with three policies by Tuesday and a competitive Zara gets thinking.

Elsewhere, Ayesha tells Emma her relationship with Leo is over. Valerie is going over the top as usual in her enthusiasm for the dinner party competition.

Doctors, Thursday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
