Pick of the Plots: Thursday October 18th
The latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.
Jean demands the truth from Hayley and after being given a dressing down, Hayley tearfully leaves to get some space. On the Square, Hayley spots Keanu and persuades him to go to the park, but when Keanu notices Hayley’s drinking, he’s disgusted and gives her a piece of his mind. However, he then realises just how vulnerable she is.
Keanu calls in at the Slater’s to share his concerns about Hayley and when he says she was going ‘home’, Jean realises where she is. Before long Kat and Jean pull up at an abandoned block of flats and are horrified when they see Hayley in a very dangerous situation – seated on the edge of a balcony several floors up.
Meanwhile, Stacey learns that Ruby has gone through with making a statement and that she and Martin will have to also. The pressure mounts for Martin as he gives his. Afterwards, a grateful Stacey kisses Martin before heading off to meet Ruby. As Martin arrives home he bumps into Ross, who wants an update.
Elsewhere Sharon remains on edge; Robbie is disappointed by the turnout for his birthday party at the Vic, but his mood changes when he gets chatted up; Dot arrives at the home of an old friend she can trust – Dr Legg.

Glen tells Victoria he has located Adam in Portugal and asks for five thousand pounds, but aware that Adam isn’t where Glen is claiming, a concerned Matty takes the money from her bag. Matty realises that Victoria could be in danger after confiding in Moira. Matty, Robert and Aaron are frantic when they track Victoria but find just her phone on the ground.
Meanwhile, Leyla tries to convince Maya how much David cares about her and soon after Maya and David make up. David and Jacob are thrilled when she agrees to move in again but when Leanna finds out she angrily confronts Maya. Joe steps in as peacemaker and later realises he has feelings for Maya.
Elsewhere, Rhona fears Leo is being bullied; Dr Cavanagh tells Bernice that he wants to be with her.
Emmerdale, Thursday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.
Donna Marie is determined to reveal all as she bangs on James’ door but Romeo stops her, promising to get her money another way. Later, Tony and Harry are having a stag do at The Loft… James is on a date and it’s clear Harry is jealous. Harry warns James to keep quiet about their affair but Romeo overhears them talking.
Kim can’t handle feeling jealous of Farrah and Grace’s relationship anymore and decides to leave Hollyoaks. While waiting for the bus she bumps into in Rick Astley… will Rick or Farrah stop her from leaving?
Elsewhere, the hospital wants to put Dee Dee in a coma; Leela catches Breda looking after Steph, and is annoyed that she is working for Jack as well but Jack covers and says they are on a date.
Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
Young mum Natalie struggles as her new born baby Jasmine cries loudly in the early hours, disturbing the neighbours. Later, Natalie arrives to see Ruhma at The Mill who advises that her baby is probably just a bit blocked up and gives her an aspirator. Natalie accidentally goes home without it and soon returns to The Mill alone, with Ruhma querying Jasmine’s whereabouts. Natalie covers but we see that the baby is home alone.
Ruhma is distracted just as Natalie plucks up the courage to ask her something. Natalie leaves but it later dawns on Ruhma that something isn’t right. She phones Natalie who insists on being left alone, we see that the baby is still home alone. Later, Ruhma arrives at Natalie’s flat and with no response breaks down the door…
Elsewhere, Daniel buys Joe a present that ends up being fun for all the family
