Pick of the Plots: Friday November 9th

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Nick is shocked when he sees Elsa heading towards number 8 and steers her towards the Bistro, watched by an intrigued Carla. Furious that he has missed their business meeting Carla gets Nick’s car keys off the desk and gets his address from his sat nav. But she is surprised by what she finds.

Later, Elsa sees Carla getting out of Nick’s car and follows her to Roy’s flat to speak to her. Carla reveals that she is Nick’s business partner. Leanne tells Toyah that Nick has changed and she is ready to give him another chance.

Meanwhile, Tracy agrees to go for lunch in town with Steve providing he sorts Abi out with a job on the switch at Street Cars. Later, Steve is about to give Tracy her wedding ring to put back on when Amy walks in and is incredulous. Adam suggests to Amy that she gets her parent to agree to some ground rules and sign a contract.

Elsewhere Gina realises that Tim worked out her feelings for him and joins a dating site to throw him off the scent; Kate reveals that she’s been to see Dr Gaddas to find out about IVF; Claudia’s unimpressed to see that the new salon is far from finished.

Coronation Street, Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Hayley ignores Kat’s pleas and returns home with Bev who does her best to play the caring mother.

Meanwhile, Linda is shocked when Tina interrupts her meeting with Stuart and lashes out at him. Back home, Linda takes action of her own leaving Tina, Halfway and Whitney stunned.

Elsewhere Ray panics when he realises Mel knew he was lying about the money and tries to cover his tracks; Louise and Hunter’s birthday party goes awry.

EastEnders, Friday at 8pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Debbie asks Cain and Moira if the kids can live with them if she goes to prison.

Charity tries to console Debbie as she ponders on Joe but they’re both left reeling when Debbie receives a text from Joe’s phone reading “I’m sorry”.

Elsewhere Kerry and the workers laugh at a video of Rishi from the stripper night.

Emmerdale, Friday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Russ buys Mercedes a necklace, but Goldie sets her sights on it and Russ feels he has to oblige. Little do they know that Mercedes knows about the necklace. 

Meanwhile, Laurie pays Diane and Tony a visit and is furious at Sinead for the lies she’s told. Ste convinces Sinead to talk to Laurie, and Sinead is delighted when he forgives her and suggests moving to Hollyoaks permanently. Later, Sami overhears Laurie on the phone desperately trying to explain that he did nothing wrong… what is he hiding?

Elsewhere Peri spends the day with Steph and realises how much she has missed out on; Sally lets slip to Peri that Harley is failing.

Hollyoaks, Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Heston invites Mrs Tembe to lunch to resolve their recent differences. Al joins them in the role of peace negotiator (although really, he just wants a beer). When Al’s chosen beer is off the menu, he protests by drinking water leaving Mrs Tembe and Heston to share a bottle of claret. Al is quite excited to get his hands on Heston’s beloved Jag.

Later, Al buckles up, teasing them that there should be no funny business in the back. Heston forgets to re-buckle his belt and Al is surprised that the car is an automatic, he jerks out of the car park. They are all thanking each other for a nice lunch when Al hits a sharp bend in the road with the car spinning out of control and into a field.

The three of them come round and Heston calls for Al to help Mrs Tembe who’s having difficulty breathing. Al is forced to perform a tracheotomy on Mrs Tembe. After which Al notices the deteriorating condition of Heston – will help reach them in time?

Doctors, Friday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
