Rainie is being treated in hospital following her altercation with Cora, who Max is keen for her to press charges against, when Ian arrives. Rainie and Max apologise for everything and Ian says that he will no longer be supporting Cora’s application. Despite the news, Max delivers some harsh home truths to Rainie – has she ruined their chance of getting custody of baby Abi?
Meanwhile, there’s tension in the Slater household as Martin complains about the overcrowding whilst Jean tries to close down talk about the father of Hayley’s baby. Ruby overhears Martin complaining and decides to leave, so Stacey sets her up with one of Jack’s flats. Kat watches Hayley with her baby and it makes her think, later Kat is stunned when Alfie video calls her, needing a favour.
Elsewhere, Tiffany and Evie go shopping together but the shine soon wears off for Tiff when she finds out more about her new friend; Dot is relieved when Dr Legg explains to her what he meant in his letter.
Second episode:
Following her call with Alfie, Kat has no idea what to do, but sensing Hayley’s nerves about the social worker visiting, she realises Hayley needs her. When the social worker arrives Kat avoids Alfie’s calls and gives Hayley the confidence she needs. Later, after calling Alfie, Kat follows his instructions and is shocked to find him waiting for her. When Alfie breaks the news that the boys are still in Spain, Kat is furious and breaks down.
Whitney berates Tiffany for wanting to skip school again and as Tiffany slips out she meets up with Evie, who asks her for a favour, she needs a place where a friend can lay low for a while
Elsewhere, Stacey tells Max that he needs to find somewhere else to stay.

Maya’s underwhelmed when David gives her flowers that are clearly past their best for her birthday and even more unimpressed to hear from Jacob that David’s with Tracy when he doesn’t turn up on time for her birthday meal. Maya confronts David and Tracy and Jacob also has a go at David for letting Maya down.
Later, Jacob’s quietly delighted to see Maya’s still less than thrilled when David tries to make it up to her, but in contrast, delighted when he presents her with a thoughtful gift. When she pours him a glass of champagne will Jacob badly misread the situation?
Elsewhere, Clive’s interest is piqued when Pollard talks about an art exhibition opening tomorrow and Frank becomes suspicious.

Lisa tells Liam that Simone didn’t poison Glenn; he believes her but still needs her to make Zack’s statement disappear. Lisa confronts DS Cassidy, but is shocked when she finds out that Liam shot Jay Johnson.
Meanwhile, Courtney is not amused with Jesse after he turned up at social services pretending to be her boyfriend. She is allowed to look after Iona again but feels uneasy about the lie. Despite the tension, Courtney and Jesse confess their love for each other and kiss.
Elsewhere, Breda apologises to Jack and asks him to accompany her to Mercedes’ wedding.
Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

At the police station, Rob tells Jimmi that the results of the crash investigation are in and the CPS has made a decision on whether or not to prosecute Al. Meanwhile, Al asks Emma’s opinion on the post-mortem on Heston, she tells him there’s no way to know if he could have done more. Unsatisfied Al meets the pathologist, Jodie, an old acquaintance, in person and asks her for her opinion.
At the end of the day, Alia finds Al at the Mill and he apologises for his role in Heston’s death. Al expects Alia to hate him but she tells him she doesn’t. To be honest she still thinks it hasn’t really hit her emotionally but she can’t stop thinking about what he did and the difficult decision he had to make especially as she herself is planning to go to medical school.
Elsewhere, Shak discovers Heston’s Will and tries to convince a reluctant Ruhma read it.
