Pick of the Plots: Monday December 17th

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Rana and Kate have a blazing row after Rana admits that she doesn’t want a baby at all, and Kate is forced to bite her tongue when Michelle talks about her and Robert’s baby plans. Kate goes to see Adam to tell him that her deal with Robert is off but fuelled by alcohol, she seduces Adam into kissing her passionately. Later, Alya tells Rana that Imran saw Kate and Adam getting frisky in the office. Rana confronts Kate and insists the relationship is over.

Meanwhile, Liz receives a call from the police about Jim and Hannah and begs Johnny to give her a lift to the station which he reluctantly agrees to. Checking the app, Jenny is furious to discover Johnny and Liz are together. Jenny confronts Johnny upon his return, lying that she saw him and Liz drive off, and a row ensues. Later on, as Liz updates Johnny on the Jim and Hannah situation, Jenny is still keeping tabs on them from a hotel room.

Elsewhere, Evelyn and Roy are faced with a scandalous accusation; Evelyn finally gets a positive trace on her pooch but the ‘dog napper’ isn’t willing to hand him over; Audrey returns from Archie’s funeral and reveals to Rita, Nick and Lewis that the late undertaker has left her £80k; and Brian snaps when Jack forgets his lines at the nativity rehearsal.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

At the Slaters, everyone is concerned for Hayley who has moved in with the Ahmeds and Alfie sets off to sort it all out and get her to come home. Alfie is shocked to hear Hayley wants to give Cherry up and tries his best to convince her otherwise, but Hayley refuses, getting Alfie thinking.

Meanwhile Jean is left shaken after an attempted mugging, but Ian is quick to come to her rescue. At choir practice, Ian stands up to Morag and nominates himself as her successor when she leaves.

Elsewhere, Stacey drops some presents off at Ruby’s but is shocked at what she finds.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

As anxious Debbie leaves for court, the Dingles are hopeful she will return, but there’s a sense that none of them believe it. Sarah blames Joe and Graham for what’s happening and Faith is taken aback by her level of fury.

Later, Sarah prepares to hurl a stone through a window at Home Farm, but is stopped by Faith. Faith feels for Sarah as she becomes emotional about her mum. They then break into Home Farm and Faith has an idea for revenge.

Elsewhere, Jacob is jealous as David and Maya rekindle their relationship; Kerry and Dan read the eviction notice Nicola has just delivered; Bernice clashes with Nicola who’s left conflicted.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Damon goes ahead with his false statement, pretending he overheard Buster admitting to the abuse.

Mandy tells Darren that their baby might have spina bifida, and that she is going for a scan tomorrow to find out.

Sinead plans to disrupt Laurie’s lunch with Sally and the governor, but instead decides to impress them. Donna-Marie recognises Sinead as a former fellow prostitute, but Sinead pretends she doesn’t recognise her.

Elsewhere, Ste steals Yazz’s new phone as their rivalry continues.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.


Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

Karen is put out by Zara’s abruptness, though it’s normal points out Ayesha. Zara keeps calling Daniel to no avail. Emma discovers Daniel has walked out and tries to reassure Zara of his inevitable return, but Zara is ill at ease with how things were left.

Meanwhile, Mrs Tembe checks in on recently widowed Pete and his son Stan, and agrees to take some flowers to the church for them. There she is surprised to see Gordon Clement who’s covering for Rev Marchant.

Doctors, Monday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
