Pick of the Plots: Thursday February 14th

The latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

With Jack’s help, Mel and Hunter prepare to flee Walford but Hunter is less than impressed by Jack’s meddling. As Jack drives them away from Walford, they are alarmed to discover that the police are in pursuit. Later, Max and Rainie’s romantic night is interrupted when Jack calls on them to babysit.

The Slaters prepare for Valentine’s Day and as Mo, Jean and Kat plan a night out at the E20, Martin invites Stacey out for a romantic night. After Tiffany helps Jean get ready, Jean tries to put her fears to rest and joins Mo and Kat at the club, interrupting Stacey and Martin on their date. Desperate for some alone time, Martin calls Kush for help. Later, Jean is upset to realise that Shirley has been speaking to Mo about her and rushes over to The Vic to confront her.

Elsewhere, Dot tries to convince a reluctant Dr Legg to spend what time he has left at home and enlists Stuart’s help; Tiffany observes Evie’s interaction with a bloke; and Mitch seeks advice from Keegan.

EastEnders, Thursday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Ellis cack-handedly organises a surprise meal for Victoria and is annoyed to find her talking to Billy in the pub. Outside, Ellis threatens Billy to keep him away from Victoria and it isn’t long before the brothers are trading blows. Victoria calls Jessie for help and is horrified when Ellis steals the van keys and accelerates towards Billy who refuses to budge from its path.

Meanwhile, there’s tension between Dan and Kerry as they face their eviction and Dan girds himself to try find a place to live. Fed up Nicola avoids the torments of Kerry and to make things worse, Jai offers Laurel the supervisor job. Later, as Nicola prepares dinner for the kids, frosty Jimmy arrives home. As they put on a front for the children, it’s clear the toll it’s taking on Nicola.

Elsewhere, Ryan dares to hope as he and Dawn enjoy their evening.

Emmerdale, Thursday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Sylver turns down Mercedes’ proposal, telling her she’ll never change, but he later proposes to her, the change of heart prompted by Mercedes declaring her for him to Liam and pushing to get Bobby into the school he applied to. Elsewhere, Joel sees Liam being cruel to Cleo and decides not to give up Michael just yet. Jesse makes Liam promise to talk about his feelings.

Meanwhile, Sienna calls in sick at school, uncomfortable about the night before. Laurie sees Sinead and Tony talking. He approaches Tony, who tells him that Sinead is worried he’s sleeping with Sienna. Later, Laurie brings Hannah to school and asks Sienna to look after her but Sienna wells up when Hannah asks her about her children. Laurie digs deeper and then consoles Sienna when she starts crying. Sinead is witnesses the comfort-giving and isn’t happy.

Elsewhere, Sami brings his dad’s old stuff into the Emporium to sell. Liberty helps him sort through it and discovers an old music video – he’s massive in Japan.

Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.


Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

Daniel and Zara find Valentine’s cards to them from the other, made by Joe. They discuss how to handle it; Zara thinks they need to take a firm approach, but Daniel thinks that’d be too much. They decide to set some boundaries and agree that Joe is the best thing they’ve done. Just as it’s looking like it’s all going well, Zara knocks over a family photo which smashes, and tensions rise again.

Meanwhile, Al and Catrin arrive at the Icon for their date, Catrin asks about Frances, but Al is distracted by a guitar playing entertainer, Jonjo. Al feels like he’s put his foot in it when he says he doesn’t like most people to start with…

Elsewhere, Becky has a night out with Ayesha and Sid.

Doctors, Thursday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
