Pick of the Plots: Tuesday April 2nd

The latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

A wary Phil greets Ben, Lola and Lexi, Sharon tries to get rid of Keanu but Ben insists he joins them for drink at The Vic. Ben picks up on the tension between his parents and as Jay and Lola catch up, Phil reminds Keanu that they have business to attend to at The Arches but they are put out when Ben joins them. Once there, Ben discovers what his dad has been up to, but as Phil tries to explain, Danny arrives wanting his money.

Meanwhile, as Ruby relives her ordeal in court she begins to struggle. Ross watches on defiantly but Matt is clearly struggling also. Stacey tries to hide her nerves as she is called to the stand but as she is questioned by the defence, she starts to unravel. Stacey beats herself up for messing things up but Ruby realises giving evidence has brought back painful memories of Archie for her.

Elsewhere, Linda and Shirley continue to support Jean who admits she’s scared of chemotherapy. Linda teases Shirley about her fear of heights to try and reassure Jean, and it gives Jean an idea of how they can face their fears together.

Also, Billy embarrasses Honey when they attend a meeting with the headmaster of a potential school for Will.

EastEnders, Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

When the police arrive at the farm with news of Joe, Moira is left wondering how Cain got his name cleared. As Kim lies about Cain holding up his side of the bargain, will Moira believe her?

Meanwhile, Kerry admits to Amy that she’s fallen out of love with Dan. After seeking advice from Bob, Dan goes shopping for an engagement ring as he wants to win Kerry back. When Dan later gets down on one knee at The Woolpack, how will Kerry respond?

Elsewhere, Maya and Jacob’s final evening alone together is interrupted as David arrives home early. Paddy volunteers himself and Marlon to build a memorial garden for Grace.

Emmerdale, Tuesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Sienna is delighted to see Brody after the trip, but Laurie tells Brody they shared a tent. Brody is frustrated when Sienna doesn’t tell him this herself. Later, a guilty Sinead tells Ste what she’s done, and he’s furious at Sami for kissing a married woman.

Meanwhile, Liberty wants to tell the world about her engagement, while Sami frets over the predicament he has found himself in. Liberty tells Aunty Kameela without Sami knowing. With Misbah and Yazz getting excited, Sami comes clean to them about his kiss with Sinead.

Elsewhere, Jesse and Courtney leave Iona with Liam and she takes her first steps; Maxine is nervous as she goes with Damon to the hospital for a medical appointment, trying to get the root of her illness. However, she soon goes missing from the hospital.

Hollyoaks, Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

The Mill’s new information screen is delivered, and Becky and Valerie try to fathom it out.

Meanwhile, Daniel is drawn into a game of tag some of his co-workers are playing. Valerie eventually catches on to the game and tries to join in. Becky isn’t impressed and finds it all very childish, but Valerie enlists Ayesha and the prospect of a rival tag game.

Elsewhere, Zara tells Daniel that she wants to take Joe on a trip to Tanzania to see the big 5 safari animals. He agrees to think about it, but Zara forges ahead with her plans. Emma attends the engagement party of a friend’s daughter and it doesn’t go exactly to plan.

Doctors, Tuesday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
