Pick of the Plots: Friday April 12th

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Peter and Ken worry for Carla as she scribbles the words “watching” and “murder” on a crossword and throws her tea down the sink convinced she’s being poisoned. As her paranoia swirls out of control she leaves the house barefoot. When Peter goes to look for her he finds her staring at the remains of the factory and, realising she’s seriously ill, takes her to the medical centre.

Carla thinks it’s a trap and as Toyah takes her through to the consulting room, explaining to Peter that Carla needs to see a mental health specialist, she panics and makes her escape through a window while their backs are turned. Having summoned the police, Peter reports Carla missing.

Meanwhile, Imran finds a shoulder to cry on when Nick reveals that his dad was murdered. With the improvised factory up and running, Nick is in the thick of it. Nick panics when Sarah hands company accounts over to the police – worried the police might spot Audrey’s money in them.

Elsewhere, Steve and Dev make light of Tim’s heart attack but Sally’s response gives them food for thought. Dev sets up a competition – whoever can lower their heart age the most in a month gets £100. Gary feels guilty when he sees Alex present Cathy with an expensive bracelet for her brithday knowing he must’ve bought it with Rick’s loan.

Coronation Street, Friday at 7.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

As Sharon contemplates how to deal with Dennis, Phil thinks that she’s being too soft on him. After seeking advice from Linda, Sharon tries a harsher approach.

Meanwhile, Keanu goes on a job for Phil but is horrified when he realises what it entails. Back in the Square, Lola ignores Ben’s instructions to stay away from Jay and suggests they go for a drink at The Vic. When Ben returns from the job, he is furious to see them together but as he winds up Whitney and Callum, Lola and Jay sneak off to the E20 and end up kissing.

Elsewhere, Mel fumes when she gets an eviction notice from Jack but when she goes to see Gray for advice, he gives her some food for thought. At Jack’s, Mel opens up about Hunter and begs him to let her keep the house.

Also, Gray surprises Chantelle with a new house on the Square – Kim and Vincent’s old place; Chantelle introduces Mitch to his grandchildren, Mia and Mackenzie; and Bex joins Kush for a running session.

EastEnders, Friday at 8.30pm on BBC One.

Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

Becky thinks she’s the last one at the surgery and after suspecting an intruder she is surprised to find Jimmi is there too. They discuss the untidiness of the Mill. Jimmi talks to Becky about his OCD. Becky is concerned that her ‘Privilege walk’ activity has caused Jimmi to have an OCD flair up but he says it’s not all down to her.

The pair talk some more about the ‘Privilege Walk’; Jimmi can see that her intention was good but that the doctors can all be a bit blinkered to it. Becky and Jimmi continue to have a heart to heart and Becky asks for the inside knowledge about the staff at the Mill.

Becky pries into Zara and Daniel, and how Sid seems to tip toe around them, but Jimmi covers that Sid has confidence issues.

Doctors, Friday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
