Pick of the Plots: Tuesday May 21st

The latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Billy questions a hungover Lola on what she said about Ben, she brushes it off as a drunken ramble but Billy isn’t so sure. Ben worries when he can’t get hold of Lola and things grow worse when after giving him his cut of the money, Phil shuts him out of future business deals. As Ben finally speaks to Lola and assures her that he just wants to protect her, Billy contemplates telling Phil the truth.

Later, Ben interrupts Billy relaying what he’s heard to Phil and insists it’s rubbish. Phil isn’t convinced by Ben’s denials. At the club, Ben tries to get Billy back on side but Billy warns him to leave Lola out of his scheming. A seething Ben makes a plan to get Billy out of the picture once and for all.

Meanwhile, Kat avoids Kush and joins Jean at her hospital appointment, but Kush pursues her to the hospital and explains why he couldn’t see her yesterday. Later, Kush is touched when Kat brings Arthur round for some quality time and he makes a big decision – he wants joint custody of him.

Elsewhere, Louise is taken aback when she learns who Bex’s crush is on; Keegan and Tiffany grow close as they look out for Bailey; Rainie shows Tina the picture she took of Stuart and Bex hugging.

EastEnders, Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

At the cricket pavilion, Maya waits for Jacob but is soon stunned when an angry David arrives to confront her. Maya offers to leave Jacob and the village for good if David lets her go. As their argument becomes heated, Maya makes to leave.

Maya is stopped in her tracks when she sees police cars approaching, just as Jacob arrives. As Maya is put into the back of one of the cars, David is left hoping he’s done the right thing.

Meanwhile, the Dingles are excited when Lisa accepts Harriet’s offer of marrying her and Zak in two days’ time.

Also, Aaron is thrown when David reveals Liv’s blackmail. Frank comforts Megan. 

Emmerdale, Tuesday at 7pm and 8pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

An angry Sienna has tied Laurie up, she wants him to admit everything that he has done to her and Sinead. Sinead finds evidence that Laurie hasn’t been going to anger management.

Laurie manages to get free, but Sienna blocks his escape, threatening him with a fire extinguisher. Brody and Liberty arrive and manage to talk her down. Back home, Laurie is confronted by Sinead about his anger management lies. Their confrontation soon takes a dark turn. Later, a heartbroken Sinead admits to Diane and Tony that Laurie has raped her.

Elsewhere, Liam teaches Curtis some tricks in a wheel chair to help get Grace out of her funk. He’s relieved when Grace tells him that she’ll let the police find whoever did this to her.

Hollyoaks, Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Sid is ringing round hospitals trying to find out information on his brother. Al wonders why he is looking at his parents’ medical records but backs off when Sid gets angry. Al thinks that Emma should have a word and take a more ‘mumsie’ approach, his use of the term ‘mumsie’ leaving her mortified.

Emma talks to Sid and after some initial frostiness, he opens up and tells her what he has found out about his parents. Emma muses that things were different in the 80s. Sid cuts her short – his next plan is to call an adoption agency…

Meanwhile, Becky thinks Daniel is still angry with her about the date she set up with Zara.

Doctors, Tuesday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
