Pick of the Plots: Thursday May 30th

The latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, Doctors and Coronation Street.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Rainie feels guilty as Max blames Stuart for Bex’s disappearance and over at The Vic the Slaters, Branning’s and Kush rally round to help find Bex. Whitney is frustrated when Callum tries to protect his brother, not disclosing that he has seen him and warning him over the phone about what’s going on.

All hell breaks loose when Stuart arrives and Martin goes for him. After their fight is broken up, a guilty Rainie takes Stuart aside and confesses about the photo. At the Slaters, Stacey and Kush are convinced Stuart’s innocent and as tensions rise Martin and Sonia learn about Bex’s pills and her kissing Kush.

Meanwhile, having taken more pills, Bex’s paranoia grows and thinking she’s being followed, she runs away. Back in the Square, unable to forgive Kush, Martin orders him to stay away from his family.

Elsewhere, Karen reels from the water balloon attack on Chatham and Riley. Things get worse when Linda shows her footage of the attack that has been posted online. Linda is rocked when Karen lets slip that it was Ollie who hit Dennis. Later, Gray speaks to the boys and Karen is left fuming when they reveal Dennis was involved. 

Also, Kathy asks Kim for advice about The Albert. Kim is ecstatic to learn that it’s going to be a gay bar.

EastEnders, Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Harriet is alarmed when Will appears. Despite her better judgement, Harriet can’t help being worried when Will explains that Dawn is in a bad way. With all the hatred between them, where will they go from here? 

Meanwhile, Faith makes her feelings clear to Bear.

Elsewhere, Jai builds his hopes up.

Emmerdale, Thursday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

As Tony, Leela and Peri confront Ste regarding the posters he plastered around the village, they’re thrown out of the Tea House by Jonny. Tony and Leela is determined to find proof that Jonny and Stuart are breaking the law. Later, Tony notices that they all have the same symbol tattoo…

Meanwhile, Juliet and Romeo are suspicious that Harry is cheating. They catch him with Kyle and get the wrong idea. In reality, Harry told Kyle he’s meeting his ex. Harry meets with his ex, Sadie and tells her that they made their decision and they must stick to it. What’s the secret…?

Elsewhere, Mercedes is helping out with Bobby’s PTA, she has to make 100 cupcakes for tomorrow. Cleo and Mitchell are worried that today’s cinema date with Joel is going to be awkward. 

Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Having spent the night together, the cold light of day brings awkwardness for Daniel and Becky. They both agree to draw a line under what has happened. Later, Becky bumps into Zara at The Mill, Zara asks her how the event went and Becky feels uncomfortable. Becky tells Zara that she has something urgent to discuss with her and Daniel today. Daniel panics to overhear this, but Becky tells him to wait until the meeting to hear what she’s got to say.

Later, Daniel is relieved when Becky announces that she is leaving for a few weeks because her grandmother is ill and she has arranged agency cover. Zara is not happy.

Elsewhere, Sid arranges to see Laurence, before confiding in Ruhma about him and asking if she’ll join him. The visit goes well, but can Sid bring himself to come clean to Laurence?

Doctors, Thursday at 1.45pm on BBC One.


The Platts return to Weatherfield with some explaining to do. Nick tells Leanne that he stole the money because David forced him to. Will she believe him? Nick offers David a deal; he takes the rap for the £80k and in return he’ll sign over his half of the barber’s shop. David’s stunned.

Meanwhile, Johnny and Kate are shocked to see the state Carla is in. Kate reckons Peter has bitten off more than he can chew. Peter finds Carla in a confused state having flooded the bathroom. While Ken comforts his exhausted son, Carla rummages through her collection of stolen phones and stuffs a toothbrush and toothpaste into her bag.

Elsewhere, Sally’s horrified to find Heracles in the conservatory munching on a cushion. Having renamed the horse ‘Tiny’, Tim and Sally see him off as he’s driven back to the stables.
