Pick of the Plots: Wednesday 2nd October
The latest goings on in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.
The police probe Kel about the assault, and he falsely claims that he was jumped by strangers. Meanwhile, Paul tells Billy that he couldn’t report Kel to the police as it would entail raking over the awful past. Later, with Bernie wanting answers, Kel reveals that he riled Paul with a homophobic jibe. To Paul’s humiliation, Bernie forces him to apologise.
Once alone, Kel threatens Paul telling him that if he breathes a word about their relationship, he’ll grass him up to the cops for assault. This prompts Paul to pack his bags, but Summer stops him from leaving and he breaks down in Billy’s arms.
Meanwhile, Kevin’s disappointed when a date fails to show. However, he soon has other things on his mind when his sister Debbie arrives on the street and breaks the news that she has inherited £200k from their auntie Vi. Kevin’s gobsmacked when Debbie says she wants him to have the money.
Elsewhere, Asha goes on a date with Riley, which ends abruptly when her arm bleeds. Dev admonishes Asha for using his credit card. Michelle is wary of being around Ray while Ryan and Ali bemoan her disapproval of their girlfriends. Sarah notices a spark between Gary and Maria.

Meanwhile, Tracy decides on a fresh start.

Joel tells Goldie about the time Breda walloped him over the head with a bible. Goldie heads to the pig farm to confront her mum, however, she finds the place deserted. Goldie is disturbed to see a sleeping bag and one of Breda’s books.
Meanwhile, Breda takes a sedated Tony into the woods to Harry’s final resting place. Tony secretly writes ‘help’ in lollipop sticks and prays that someone finds Harry’s body. Back at home, Goldie confronts her mum. She thinks she’s having a breakdown and decides they’re selling the pig farm.
Elsewhere, Courtney and Jesse argue about his reluctance to get married; Jesse later proposes to Courtney after some advice from Liam.
Also, Mandy sets Cindy up on a date at The Dog, but Luke is also on one there. Cindy and Luke end up getting cosy with each other at The Loft when their dates don’t go well. Mercedes feels unworthy of Sylver’s love.
Hollyoaks, Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
Ayesha is worn out from looking out for Valerie, while Karen resents her absence as she has to pick up the slack. Ayesha happens upon Sid whom she manipulates into going round to sit with Valerie. Unsure of what to say or do but determined to do it well, Sid is shocked at what he finds…
Meanwhile, Daniel is miffed to find his bathroom cabinet has been filled with Becky’s beauty products. When Becky buys him some colourful cushions to brighten up the house, he confesses to Emma that he hates them.
Later, Daniel begins to feel stifled by Becky when she plots out how they should spend a Joe free weekend. He’s further unsettled when Becky buys a book for Joe.
