Pick of the Plots: Wednesday 23rd October
The latest goings on in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.
Bethany confides in Audrey about her feelings for Daniel blaming herself for taking advantage of him. At the same time, Sinead reaches for her notebook only to find that it’s Bethany’s notebook which she left behind. Sinead opens it and starts reading. Daniel returns home and Sinead reveals that she’s read Bethany’s short story and it’s clear she’s in love with him. Daniel tries to deny there’s any truth in it but Sinead begs him to be honest with her.
Coming clean, Daniel swears to Sinead that it meant nothing but she can’t look at him. A furious Craig bundles him out of the door. Having been summoned by Beth, Dr Gaddas tends to Sinead and assures her that whatever has happened with Daniel, she’s deeply loved and Bertie needs her. An angry Craig confronts Bethany and tells her he’s disgusted with her behaviour while Adam finds Daniel in the ginnel, drunk and in self-destruct mode.
Meanwhile, David swears to Shona that the assault on Josh had nothing to do with him but when a video surfaces of Josh collapsing from his stab wound with David nearby, Shona is unsure what to think.
Coronation Street, Wednesday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.
Moira is trapped in weeds underwater.
Above on the surface, a petrol canister has been leaking and soon a huge explosion rips through the boat, threatening to kill those on board.
Elsewhere, Paddy races against the clock.
Emmerdale, Wednesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.
Tony thinks Breda should keep the psychiatrist’s appointment, but she knows that he just wants her to reveal her darkest secrets to the doctor. Breda turns up at the hospital to humour everyone but she’s hostile with the doctor and in her anger reveals too much… At The Dog, Breda fills her bag with food but is stopped by Sylver, Goldie and Jack before she can leave. They tell Breda that the doctor thinks she might have dementia and they need to know where she is at all times.
Meanwhile, Sienna doesn’t want to get her hopes up about Ollie and Brooke’s baby. Later, Brody gives Sienna a scan photo and is hopeful that everything’s going to work out, unaware that Ollie is crying at home about the thought of giving up his child.
Elsewhere, Finn confronts Edward about the bird that he killed. Unfazed, Edward invites Nancy, Mandy, Darren and Cindy round to the flat to give Diane a bit of adult company, which she’s grateful for. Everyone is impressed with Edward’s intellect and ability to speak numerous languages. However, Luke arrives and clashes with Edward. Back at home, Darren has a surprise for Mandy to try and live up to Edward’s standards.
Hollyoaks, Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
Daniel tells Izzie that he is very proud of her for going to counselling, and Izzie admits that she quite likes Becky.
Meanwhile, Zara is talking to Emma about Adam when Izzie arrives and apologises to her for her past behaviour. Zara admits that she shouldn’t have hit her, but Izzie forgives her. Afterwards, all is well, and Zara tells Daniel she is in the early days of seeing someone.
Elsewhere, Al shows Jimmi around The Icon and eventually wears him down.
