Nicola tries to deny the claims about Barney’s paternity but is forced to come clean when Teddy presses her on the facts. Teddy and Nicola are shaken when Harry reveals Zack’s plan to leave with Barney.
Later, Harry takes drastic measures to stop Zack and bundles him into his car boot before speeding out of Walford. Fearing his son’s action, Teddy intercepts Honey, Billy and Nigel on the way to the cinema and demands a lift to follow Harry before he can see out his plan.
However, just when it looks as though Teddy has sorted everything, things take a turn for the worse when a car veers off the road and submerges itself in the lake.
Meanwhile, Barney comforts Avani over the abusive messages. Nicola finds them and assumes Avani is leading Barney astray, but when Barney reveals the reason behind her upset, Nicola gives Avani a pep talk. Avani is touched by his support and the pair continue to bond.

A dreaming John is tormented by his nightmares as he envisions the new threat of Aidan interrupting his wedding.
Later, Aaron witnesses John with Aidan and mistakenly believes John still loves Aidan. He heartbreakingly calls off the wedding, despite John’s desperate protestations.
Meanwhile, Sarah heads off to hear her biopsy results alone. Seeing her whilst on a shift, Jacob worries for his friend as Sarah tries to put on a brave face. When he offers her support, she can’t help but crumble as she explains that she’s just been diagnosed with cancer.
Elsewhere, Lewis gets a phone alert that there is an intruder in his attic. When he realises it is Mackenzie, he wants an explanation from Ross.

At the manor, Frankie, Dillon, Darren and Robbie are at the mercy of DI Bank’s gang. Mercedes has finished her chemotherapy treatment as she leaves the hospital to a round of applause and with Freddie by her side she rings the bell.
Meanwhile, a torn Rex finds Darren and Robbie in a separate van and gives them a lifeline.
Ste and Leela are waiting for news on Lucas’ operation when they are confronted by a concerned Nancy, hoping Ste might have answers on what Rex has been up to.
As Nancy and Ste are at odds, Ste gets a call from Rex but it’s a frightened Darren at the other side of the phone. He tells them he’s with Robbie and he thinks they’re going to die. The village is thrown into panic as nobody knows where Darren is and with Rex exposed, Ste becomes the target of anger while he is in his lowest hour, as Lucas fights for life.
Heartbreak for Ste as he is told that Lucas had an unexpected bleed on the brain.
Peeking through a hole in the van, Darren tells Nancy over the phone where they are and everyone breaks off to find them.
Rex breaks down to Grace telling her what she is doing is wrong and that she is continuing a cycle of abuse.

Mali, Abigail, Mackenzie and Levi are headed to the wedding together and Mackenzie insists that she drive, even if that means she won’t be able to drink… She’s saved from revealing the truth of her and Levi’s pregnancy attempts by Eden arriving to let them know the wedding is cancelled. Mackenzie goes to support Tane but returns with desires to pickup where she and Levi left off. However, their plans are thwarted by Abigail and Mali, who finally get the full picture thanks to Levi spilling the beans – we’re trying for a baby. Abigail is shocked, and although Mali is frustrated over Kirby giving him two weeks’ notice, he expresses genuine excitement for Levi and Mackenzie. In fact, he puts it out there – do you know how much I love you?
In Salt, it’s all hands on deck to get rid of stock, cancel people’s shifts, and get the cancelled ceremony packed down. Eden’s still trying to find the right moment to tell Cash she wants the engagement back on and Levi persuades her there’s no right time. So, Eden finds a moment and a bottle of bubbly, but before she can share her feelings, Cash affirms they made the right decision to put off their engagement. Eden is stymied. It seems the wrong moment does exist.
Tane has been letting his extended family, whānau, know the wedding’s off and affirms with Cash that Archie will still have a great life. Cash has to admit there was something else Harper wanted to give to Tane – the ring back. Mackenzie arrives to support and guides Tane’s focus back to making sure he is doing what’s best for the baby, when Tane gets a text from Harper wanting to meet up.
Dana and Irene support Harper, helping her consider how her parenting with Tane is going to be affected. When Harper and Tane meet, she’s direct – they need to talk about moving forward with Archie. He suggests they return to their original plan to co-parent, like nothing has changed. This hits Harper hard. She feels everything has changed and makes a snap decision – she doesn’t want him in Archie’s life at all. Tane’s appeals only anger Harper, and Cash intervenes.
After Cash cools him down, Tane returns to Harper and pleads – he knows she’s hurting, but he’s begging to be present in his son’s life. Harper asks that he let her get through the birth, then they can work out an agreement moving forward.

Jane and the family reel in the wake of Amanda’s angry outburst and the cancellation of their trip to the Dandenongs. But as they discuss it further, they realise that since Amanda’s mood swings can go both ways, there may still be time to turn the day around. Jane grows hopeful as she sets out to look for her mother. Meanwhile, Darcy arrives at the Dandenongs to meet Amanda, setting up his alibi with Tess Bell at the same time. There, Amanda lapses into a moment of confusion, thinking Darcy is Jane. She tells ‘Jane’ that she is sorry she treated her badly, everything Jane wanted to hear from her mother when Amanda came to town.
Amanda soon realises her confusion and admits to Darcy that she is scared of what is happening to her. Darcy is torn between sympathy and a need to cover his tracks. Later, Darcy meets with Tess, solidifying his alibi and charming himself back into Tess’s good books.
Unable to find Amanda, Jane asks Susan for help, and she discovers Amanda was seen getting into an Uber. Worried over Amanda’s whereabouts, Jane calls the police who commences a search. Susan calls Darcy, who is now busy catching up with Tess. As the Harrises wait anxiously, Andrew arrives with news. His sombre face tells Jane everything she needs to know: Amanda is dead.
Max pitches the idea to Agnes of moving to Port Douglas for a few months, so she can work with the publisher of her new book and spend some more time with her friend Harold. Agnes is tempted but hesitant about how Harold might feel if she just lands on him like that. Susan helps her work through her doubts and persuades her Harold wouldn’t have keep up their friendship long-distance if he didn’t value it. And her words are proved right when Agnes decides to surprise Harold by turning up on his doorstep… and he gives her the warmest of welcomes.
Max offers Wendy a copy of the Ramsay family tree. When Andrew sees it, it gets him thinking about his own family. Wendy suggests making a Rodwell family tree of their own, but Andrew sadly notes it would be missing the part of his family he doesn’t know – his biological family.
