Yesterday Robert was thumped by Aaron, then later Robert was thumped by John. Robert declared that John was just a ‘sticking paster’ and Robert was the real love of Aaron’s life; and by the end of the hour-long episode neither Aaron or John had made it to be husband and husband. Along the way, despite telling Robert to leave the village Aaron indulged in a little bit of smooching with his ex-husband on Emmerdale’s bridge of sighs. Spotted by Chas, who was tampin’, fumin’, ragin’. Better luck tonight… Well, maybe as John envisions another nightmare – will the wedding go ahead? The length of time it’s taking, will anyone care?
Also, in Thursday’s episode Joe offered Billy a great job – only it was weekdays in Liverpool. Billy wasn’t impressed and was less so when Joe called him a loser, losing his temper he shoved Joe out of his wheelchair and stormed off. Tonight Billy continues to stands his ground.
Lewis threatened to go to the police over the ‘murder’ of Emma, the mother he never knew via a shove off a motorway bridge by Moira. Ross however suggested he needed to think about taking that action, as his lucrative weed crop might just be exposed.
Meanwhile, Kyle arrives with news.
Emmerdale, ITV1, tonight at 7.30pm or watch on ITVX now

Alf buttons off a call with John, noting he’s going to sort Eliza out – knowing full well she’s been listening in from the stairs. Marilyn observes Eliza’s awkward interactions with Harper, but Harper is convinced she just needs Eliza to trust her. Eliza suggests a walk, and Harper agrees, which only escalates Marilyn’s concerns. They come across Tane – and conflict flares up over Harper spending time alone with Eliza. Tane’s concerned she’s not safe, but Harper makes it clear – it’s none of his business, they’re not together.
John catches up with Tane, who explains Harper has requested he not attend the birth. John tries to encourage him about the big picture, but Tane’s concerns remain. He searches for Roo and asks if Marilyn could please try to stay nearby Harper and Eliza. She reports back to Tane that they’re home and safe – but while she’s upstairs Harper and Eliza go for a drive.
