Malique Thompson-Dwyer to reprise Hollyoaks role

Malique Thompson-Dwyer will re-join the cast of Hollyoaks this summer as Prince McQueen.

Malique Thompson-Dwyer will re-join the cast of Hollyoaks this summer as Prince McQueen.

Prince was last seen in August 2019 as Nana (Diane Langton), Goldie (Chelsee Healey) and the rest of the McQueen family threw him a leaving party in celebration of his ‘Prince World Tour’ travels.

The character will be a ‘key part’ of a number of storylines after returning to viewers’ screens.

“This time around, Prince is most certainly back with a bang, with his return seeing him ruffle more feathers than ever, some old, some new,” a source noted.

Prince first arrived in Hollyoaks Village in 2016 in typical McQueen fashion as he was seen doing a spot of housebreaking with his twin brother, Hunter.

The character went on to be at the fore of various notable happenings including crashing into Joel’s motorbike and suffering a brain haemorrhage, as well as his doomed romance with Lily. Having supported Lily through her battle with self-harm and mental health, he struggled to cope when she tragically lost her life.

“I’m really excited to announce that I will be stepping back into Prince McQueen’s shoes and returning to Hollyoaks this summer. I’m looking forward to the seeing what Prince gets up to next and working with the production team again. Stay tuned!” – Malique Thompson-Dwyer

Malique has also appeared on The Dumping Ground and the 18th series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here. The actor will be back on screen in Hollyoaks on 7th September on E4, with Channel 4 repeating the scenes the next day at 6.30pm.
