The phenomenal film adaptation of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s smash stage musical which traces the legendary life and death of Argentina’s controversial First Lady, EVITA, premieres on free-to-air TV channel GREAT! movies classic on Tuesday 26^th July 2022.

Directed by Alan Parker and starring Madonna, Jonathan Pryce, and Antonio Banderas, the musical movie masterpiece EVITA is the spellbinding true-life story of Eva Peron who rose above childhood poverty and a scandalous past to eventually became the wife of Argentinian president Juan Perón, and the most beloved and hated woman in Argentina.

The film’s triumphant soundtrack features all the smash-hit, classic songs including “You Must Love Me”, “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” and “Another Suitcase in Another Hall”. “You Must Love Me”, specially composed for the film, won both the Oscar and the Golden Globe for Best Original Song.

Madonna received the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical, and the film won the award for Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical.

EVITA is showing on Tuesday 26th July 2022 at 9pm.
