Zack puts his plan into action and goes to Ravi for a loan to fund his escape. Ravi warns him not to mess with Nicola and reveals she recently asked him to help move a body. Zack confides in Linda, who convinces him to go to the police. The information is enough to get Nicola arrested.

When Zack sees Harry’s reaction to Nicola’s arrest, he goes to see him and reveals the truth about Barney’s paternity, hoping Harry will help him get Barney away to safety. Later, after Nicola is released, Harry reveals the truth to Teddy – he is not Barney’s dad, Zack is.

Meanwhile, Phil is confused when Nigel is angry that they didn’t celebrate his birthday despite saying he didn’t want a fuss.  Phil suggests a belated birthday celebration, and Nigel asks to go to the cinema.

Elsewhere, Avani pales after she receives an onslaught of cruel messages online as news gets out about her sleeping with Joel. Barney tries to reach out, but she gets defensive when he mentions Joel and storms off.

Later, Barney finds Avani in distress in the playground and attempts to help again.

Also, Gina offers to help Kojo look for a flat.

Brody tenses as he listens to a message from his dad. Kit returns home to find Brody smashing up his flat, convinced his dad has been stitched up by the police.

Kit calmly spells out to Brody that the evidence suggests otherwise and Mick is a violent man. Brody sees red and charges at Kit, sending him crashing into the wall.

As Sarah and Bernie arrive, Brody races out, a hoodie covering his face. As they dash inside what state will they find Kit in?

Meanwhile, when Ronnie introduces Debbie to Fiona, an old flame, Debbie’s put out. Ronnie assures Debbie that Fiona is nothing more than a friend. Debbie makes out she’s not bothered, but when her phone rings, she plays Ronnie at his own game and lets him think she’s got a new boyfriend.

Carl tells Ronnie that Debbie doesn’t want anything to do with him and from now on he’s barred from the hotel. Ronnie’s furious as the pair square up.

Elsewhere, Eileen tells George and Brian that the drugs found in Julie’s system were the painkillers prescribed for her, not Julie. When Brian makes an innocuous remark, Eileen snaps and bans him from attending the funeral. George feels out of his depth as he tries to comfort Eileen.

Also, Carla asks Lisa if she meant what she said about their future.

John and Aaron’s wedding day arrives. When Cain reveals the dredging of the lake has begun, a panicked John starts packing to flee.

Aaron catches John mid-escape but is reassured it’s just pre-wedding jitters. The moment Aaron leaves, John continues packing and drives away from the village.

However, upon seeing the workers down tools and learning the dredging has been cancelled, John confirms he will proceed with the wedding.

Later, John’s plans are thrown into chaos when Cathleen, Aidan’s mother, arrives with news her son has awakened from his coma and is asking for him.

Meanwhile, Joe and Dawn’s romance is derailed when a social worker arrives to follow up on a safeguarding concern.

Realising their daughter is in danger, Darren and Nancy try to shake some answers out of Rex. A text reveals the location they need, but they trust the wrong police officer and accidentally set the gears into motion for an operation clear out… DI Banks makes plans to escape with his wife and Victoria this afternoon, destroying all evidence and disposing of workers beforehand.

Meanwhile, suspicious girlfriend Diane follows Allister to the manor house.

Taking matters into his own hands, Darren arrives at Fernmere and with Kat’s help finds himself being led upstairs to a hidden room. In there, the reality of Frankie’s situation dawns on Darren. He covers up his daughter and vows to get her out, but the severity of their circumstance looms over them…

Meanwhile, Donny, Rex and Dodger put their minds together on how to save the hostages. At the house the teens and Robbie desperately try to escape the basement. On their quest for freedom, the injured trio bump into Darren and Frankie but the reunion is short lived when DI Banks’ cronies arrive… A fight breaks out and Darren and Robbie attack the gang members… Darren’s fate is left unknown.

Elsewhere, Grace goes on a mission to remove all evidence they were involved and get Banks’ contacts to take over his operation. She manages to convince a reluctant Rex to tag along,

At hospital, Lucas has had another seizure but the procedure is still going ahead today.

It’s the day before Tane and Harper’s wedding… and tension fills the air. Cash is on a short tempered Tane’s heels, but their conversation is halted for a meeting with John, who expresses his own veiled concerns over Tane’s attitude toward the wedding. Tane maintains everything is fine but back at home, Cash finally gets to confront him – are you in love with Harper or not?

Dana stumbles across Harper who’s in tears and wearing her wedding dress. Dana wants to know what’s changed and pushes for Harper to ask Tane for certain whether he loves her or not. This terrifies Harper – what if he doesn’t? Harper overhears Cash asking the same question and she busts in – does he love her? It’s a yes or no question. Tane answers her question truthfully – no. He wants to put this behind them, and through gritted teeth, she agrees. Harper explains to Dana who promises support, no matter what. The next morning, Harper arrives on Tane’s doorstep and tells him she can’t do it. She knows he cares about her, but she deserves more. She won’t bring their child up in a lie, and she doesn’t want a loveless marriage.

Eden reveals to an excited Kirby that she wants her engagement with Cash back on, but her intentions are once again diverted when a downtrodden Cash arrives following his conversation with Harper and Tane. He was trying to help, but maybe he’s just stuffed things up. The next morning, Tane confirms with them – the wedding’s off.

Dana, Irene and John are preparing for the big day when Harper shows up and explains she’s calling the wedding off. Irene and John are sympathetic but move off to get it sorted. Cash stops by to offer his condolences. It’s not Harper’s fault, it just wasn’t meant to be. Harper hands Cash her ring back, asking for him to please give it back to Tane for her.

Kirby’s been practicing hard as Justin reveals he’s booked a studio space for her recording. Kirby shares her concerns over juggling work at the board shop, so Justin encourages her to talk to Mali about it – it’s not good for his business, or her work.

Home and Away airs 1:45pm on Channel 5, at 6pm on 5STAR with first-look screenings of the following edition at 6:30 pm. The series also streams on 5.

Jane and family struggle to navigate Amanda’s shifting mental state, increasingly worried as they try to convince her to accept proper cognitive testing for dementia.

Meanwhile, Darcy dodges Karl’s accusations of having a hand in his opioid dependency issues; Darcy denies all, but Terese makes it clear she’s got her eye on him. When he learns a worried Jane plans to take control of Amanda’s affairs – including her finances – Darcy feels the walls closing in. Manipulating Amanda to turn on her own family, Darcy sets a sinister plan in motion…

Paul is in a state of numb shock after learning unexpected news from Chelsea and fails to open up to Terese as he wrestles with what to do. Chelsea, meanwhile, is sure it’s only a matter of time before Paul’s wrath is unleashed and contemplates fleeing town.

Things are looking up for Agnes. After sending her manuscript to Harold, he passed it on to a publisher in Port Douglas who reaches out to Agnes and shows a keen interest in her work. Their first phone call is a positive one but comes with a request for some revisions. It’ll be months of work, but Agnes is invigorated by the possibility and the request she visit Port Douglas to discuss it in person. Of course, the chance to see Harold in person is a nice little bonus too…
