Stars head to Sea Life London to meet the turtles and terrapins

Celebrities including TV personalities Amy Childs, Vogue Williams and husband, Spencer Matthews, Strictly professional Nadya Bychkova and rapper Tinchy Stryder were amongst the attendees at a VIP breakfast at SEA LIFE London Aquarium on Saturday morning where they took a deep dive into the turt-ally awesome underwater world of the attraction’s turtles and terrapin residents.

The lucky celebrities were given a first look at the attraction’s new summer turtles and terrapin activity and had the opportunity to get up close to these adorable creatures while also learning important conservation lessons from SEA LIFE London Aquarium’s expert team.

Venturing under the sea first was Amy Childs and her very excited daughter Polly. After learning how they can help our sea creature friends survive by reducing plastic usage and not littering, they were spotted looking in awe at the many creatures in the attractions Ocean Tank. They were followed by TV star Vouge Williams, who was joined at the morning’s event by husband, Spencer Matthews and children Theodore and Gigi who were kept entertained on their visit by the real-life cheeky terrapins that live in the Rainforest Adventure section of the Aquarium.

The TV personalities were also joined by the star of the Strictly ballroom Nadiya Bychkova, who was seen searching for SEA LIFE London Aquarium’s green sea turtles, Boris and Dougie, named after Boris Johnson and McFly bassist Dougie Poynter. The Aquarium’s resident green sea turtles are ambassadors for their species, with Nadiya and her daughter learning about their threaten relatives in the wild and finding out that nearly all sea turtle species are classified as endangered.

Hot on their heels, was Tinchy Stryder, who posed alongside wife, Amba and children,  Arabella and Zack, before heading into the attraction to enjoy the private event.

SEA LIFE London Aquarium’s General Manager Catherine Pritchard:

“It was great to have Amy, Vogue, Spencer, Nadiya, Tinchy Stryder and all our other VIP guests at SEA LIFE London Aquarium this morning as we shared stories of the ocean and how important it is that we all join the mission to save turtles and terrapins across the world.

“We hope our VIP guests had a turt-ally awesome experience and we look forward to opening our doors over the summer holidays to all our amazing guests and giving them the opportunity to get up close and see these wonderful creatures in real life.”
