Cat Deeley shares ‘morning beauty routine’

Cat prepares to slip into the shoes of those who have gone before – Judy Finnigan and Fern Britton and most recently Holly Willoughby – as she becomes today the main female co-host of This Morning…

A famous face stateside and here in the UK Cat has become a hit with TV viewers thanks to her natural and humorous personality. She also has gorgeous glowing skin, whichs is why Cat Deeley is also the beauty ambassador of the skincare brand Ella & Jo

As their ambassador, Cat has shared her morning beauty secrets as she prepares for early mornings on ITV1 and STV every Monday to Thursday. Deeley’s Morning Beauty Routine with Ella & Jo gives us an insight into her quick three-step morning beauty routine, to keep her skin glowing and radiant…

Step 1: Cleansing

The first step of my morning beauty routine is massaging a coin sized amount of exfoliating cleanser (I use the Brighten & Glow Exfoliating Cleanser) into my face on dry skin for 60 seconds. If I feel my skin needs a little more hydration I leave it on for 5-10 minutes, while I inevitably run around after the boys, while it gives me a deeper, exfoliating mask treatment. I do this roughly 1-2 times a week. I then remove any excess using a mitt, like the Ella & Jo Cleansing Mitt. This product is a real multi-tasking skin hero for my busy mornings! It is so gentle on my skin and keeps it looking bright and hydrated.

Step 2: Hydrate and Nourish

I then apply 2-3 pumps of a hydrating serum onto my face, neck and décolletage. I’ve been using the [award-winning] Hydrating Hyaluronic Serum recently, and it is super lightweight and works beautifully underneath my makeup to prep my skin – my make-up artist always thanks me for that – it’s a skincare must-have! It’s full of the good stuff including hyaluronic acid, Vitamin B3, and potent Matrixyl 3000 which supports skin repair, reduces redness, smooth wrinkles, and improves tone and elasticity, stimulating collagen and elastin production. I love it, as it gives me the boost of hydration I need.

Step 3: Plump & Protect

Finally using my fingertips, I apply a half teaspoon of day cream with SPF in, I use the Plump & Protect Hydrating Day Cream with SPF30, and massage it over my face, neck, chest, ears, and hands. I apply this evenly in these areas as it’s the final step of my morning skincare routine and before make-up. On days where I am out for most of the day and exposed to light, I’ll then reapply every two hours.

This day cream is just exactly what I need! It plumps, hydrates and protects my skin for the day ahead, and for whatever the day throws at me whether I’m at the park with the boys or in front of the camera. I love that it’s designed to get as many skin-loving ingredients into my skin as possible while also acting as the skin’s bodyguard against skin enemies (skinemies) such as UVA, UVB, pollution and blue light. Day cream is full of the good stuff my skin needs including ceramides, hyaluronic acid and glycerin.

This Morning airs from 10 am, weekdays on ITV1, STV, STV Player and ITVX
