HOME AND AWAY

Justin and Leah’s big day is here!
Baby Maia’s mother has come forward at last, and Harper is organising a meeting with her and Rose tomorrow. The only thing is, she’s completely unaware of the fact that the baby has gone missing, right under their noses. Guilty and terrified, Dana rushes to the police station and files a report, but the damage is already done. Infuriated and beyond stressed out, Rose blames Dana for letting Tane take the baby away.
With no time to lose, Rose rushes to Tane’s house, at best hoping to catch him there or at least find clues as to where he could have gone. Mackenzie and Mali are both at home and are stunned by what they’re hearing. Mac tells Rose that she’s free to search Tane’s room, but shockingly, Mali stops her. Standing in the doorway to protect his friend, he tells her that Tane’s done nothing wrong, and that she needs a search warrant if she’s going in there. On her part, Rose is speechless – she can’t believe her own boyfriend is standing in the way of justice!
Back at the police station, Maia’s mother finally shows up, and Rose and Harper listen to her tell her story. Her name is Sonia, and she heard what Rose said at the media event about needing to know where you belonged. She also tells them that Maia’s name is actually Poppy, and she’s excited to see her daughter again. Rose thinks quickly and comes up with a plan to stall for time – they need to go through routine ID checks, DNA tests and so on before any reunion can happen. The plan works a treat when Sonia readily agrees – she’ll do anything to see her baby again. But how long can they keep this up for?
Irene asks Dana what’s going on with Harper, having seen her look incredibly upset. Immediately, Dana breaks down, admitting that it’s kind of her fault. Teary-eyed, she explains the situation with Tane and the missing baby. She wholeheartedly regrets feeling sorry for him after he had helped the baby so much – and given the fact that things had escalated to an AVO being put in place, she regrets trusting him at all.
Justin and Leah’s big day is here! Friends and loved ones they haven’t seen in forever start rolling in from all corners of the world. Theo is still nowhere to be seen, though, and worry is really starting to set in for Justin – where is his best man? Theo finally walks through the door with Valerie, having replied to none of Justin’s texts about the things he was supposed to do. They make it to the beautiful venue in one piece, but Justin’s clearly unhappy with him.
Arm in arm, they walk down the aisle together to an adoring Justin as their smiling guests watch on. Leah is beyond thrilled with everything Justin has planned. John turns out to be a fantastic wedding celebrant, and confidently reassures his friends that he’s got everything under control. After a few emotional speeches and the exchanging of vows, John finally pronounces Justin and Leah husband and wife!
Home and Away airs 1:45pm on Channel 5, Monday to Friday and at 6pm on 5STAR with first-look screenings of the following edition at 6:30 pm. The series also streams on My5.

Harold returns to Erinsborough
Though miles from one another, JJ and Nell are both stuck in teen misery. JJ arrives for his first day of work at the vineyard and is set some cripplingly uninspiring tasks by Leo, while Nell is unable to convince Toadieto to write her a note to help her get out of all the homework she hasn’t completed. Needing an escape, Nell attends school and visits JJ at the vineyard, where the two of them get up to some mischief.
Though Nellis is almost caught by Leo and a visiting Krista, Toadie quickly learns something is amiss back in Erinsborough. Frustrated by Nell continuing to do the wrong thing whenever JJ is around, he sets out with Terese to retrieve her. But unbeknownst to JJ and Nell, a masked figure injects a mysterious substance into one of the bottles of wine JJ’s meant to be looking after…
On the eve of the opening of Eirini Rising, Harold returns to Erinsborough. As the opening gets underway, he’s struck by unexpected feelings of emotion. Susan and Toadie worry he’s grappling with having to face up to the next stage of his life, however, Harold later confesses a more sentimental reason for his melancholy: being back among friends is reminding him of Madge.
Aaron has infiltrated the cycling group and discovers the identity of the pooper. The culprit turns out to be Jacob, the guy he inadvertently flirted with days earlier. Aaron rushes to Eirini Rising to share the photographic evidence with Karl. Both men are stunned when Jacob turns up and is revealed to be Shirley Burchmore’s grandson.
Worried it’s make or break for their relationship, Mackenzie pulls out all the stops for Haz’s homecoming from the hospital but is derailed by Amira taking over. Mackenzie laments to her friends that she doesn’t know how to navigate their sibling dynamics without offending Amira while salvaging her relationship with Haz.
Dex is rushed to hospital, gravely ill, but the cause of his collapse is a mystery. Toadie learns that JJ was a part of Dex’s collapse, and concerned about his and Nell’s closeness, Toadie bans Nell from seeing JJ again. In the wake of Eirini Rising’s launch being disrupted, Susan and Terese are once again at odds as to how to best handle the fallout.
After confessing to Harold that she’s incredibly unhappy in her job and her friendship with Terese is suffering, Susan confronts Terese and tells her that her job isn’t worth losing their friendship over and to start looking for a replacement.

A retreat for some of the staff of The Mill
A cheerful Al arrives at the Campus to find Scarlett working away. He asks her to ensure his diary is clear mid-morning. Al excitedly reveals he’s expecting an important phone call. Al grows impatient as the time passes and he still hasn’t received a call. When the call comes through, Al pounces on the phone to answer it. Later in the staff room, Al explains to Scarlett about his mystery call.
Al teases Sid, who’s on his way to meet Paige’s parents. When Al asks what Sid is getting for them, Sid admits he forgot. Sid suggests flowers and whisky, but Al quickly shoots those down as amateur. Finally, they decide on chocolates until Scarlett mentions how her friend Courtney is allergic, leaving Sid crestfallen. When Sid arrives at the Popplewell House, he’s welcomed by Paige’s parents, Cathy and Tony – Sid feels utterly uncomfortable as the evening progresses.
Al asks Scarlett if she’s packed for the upcoming trip. Scarlett tells him she’s not going. Al tries to persuade her with pictures of the fancy gardens, but that doesn’t impress Scarlett. Al asks Jimmi to come on the trip too, and though initially, Jimmi refuses, Al spins it as a retreat, and the beautiful gardens finally win Jimmi round.
Later in the week Luca and Scarlett arrive to find the Campus Surgery in disarray. There’s an abandoned phone, which starts to ring. Luca answers, hearing the distressed voice of a patent Steve on the other end. Scarlett discovers another patient, Grace, asleep in the sick bay. She wakes up, realising she’s been there all night. When they mention Steve calling, she looks scared. Later, Grace pops in to see Luca. She apologises for what happened and explains how she’s been working very hard recently—to the breaking point.
Luca and she delve further into her sob story, and she tells him about the surgery Steve ‘insisted’ she get – Steve wanted it, so she went along with it. Luca is shocked and appalled when she admits Steve thought she’d be grateful. But then Grace rushes off, having said too much. When Steve enters the Campus, he recognises Luca’s voice and apologises for losing his temper earlier over the phone. Steve explains he was worried about Grace. Luca tells Scarlett about Grace’s operation, and she’s just as appalled.
