JB Gill early favourite for Strictly crown

80s popstar Toyah Wilcox 16/1 after signing up to show…

JB Gill is a singer, TV presenter and author he’s currently on William Hill’s betting as an early favourite to win the 20th-anniversary series of Strictly Come Dancing.

JB Gill rose to fame as a member of one of the UK’s biggest boybands – JLS, they have accumulated five number-one singles, over 10 million record sales worldwide and have won a multitude of awards. JB Gill is also an avid and award-winning farmer and was the lead presenter on CBeebies’ Down On The Farm, Channel 5’s On The Farm, plus contributions to the BBC’s Countryfile and Springwatch.

JB Gill has been a part of the presenting team for BBC Songs of Praise since 2017 and has his own TV show Cooking With The Gills on Channel 5.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps:

“With six contestants announced so far the battle for the new season of Strictly Come Dancing is beginning to take shape, and JLS singer JB Gill is our early 5/1 favourite before the stars take to the ballroom.

Toyah Wilcox 16/1

“Toyah Wilcox was announced as a contestant yesterday and we don’t think she’ll be a leading contender for the Glitterball Trophy at 16/1, while Dr Punam Krishan (16/1) and singer Wynne Evans (20/1) are also big outsiders. Recent gold medallist Tom Dean (8/1) and comedian Chris McCausland (12/1) are slightly more fancied for the prize at this stage.”
