Joe Tate to face ‘explosive confrontation’ in Emmerdale

Joe Tate’s presence at Home Farm has inevitably reignited old feuds…

Joe has created a raft of new enemies, setting the stage for what promises to be an explosive confrontation. Played by Ned Porteous, Joe, has wasted no time in ruffling feathers and fuelling dangerous rivalries which have been simmering for weeks. He’s been brazenly conducting a passionate affair with Dawn, played by Olivia Bromley, betraying her unsuspecting husband Billy (Jay Kontzle).

And soon at a surprise party at Home Farm, Joe’s secrets will be exposed, as Billy has uncovered the truth about Dawn’s deception and is positioning Joe firmly in his crosshairs.

Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) harbours intense hatred toward Joe after discovering he drugged her son Noah, causing the catastrophic limousine crash that claimed three innocent lives, so she is armed with her own revenge plan as she turns up at the party.

Meanwhile, Caleb Milligan (William Ash) continues to recover from the physical and emotional trauma of Joe’s most shocking crime yet – stealing his kidney. Only the dark secrets surrounding Anthony’s mysterious death have prevented Caleb from seeking immediate vengeance. And soon with the kidney stealing exposed, his family members are also gunning for Joe to protect their murderous secret.

Adding fuel to the fire, when Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) learns Joe is culpable for her daughter Amy’s death she is also hell bent on revenge. These simmering tensions reach a dangerous boiling point during Lydia’s surprise birthday celebration at Home Farm. As Joe’s enemies converge, the question isn’t if someone will seek revenge, but who will strike first?

Emmerdale continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV1 and STV or from 7.00am on ITVX and STV Player.
