ane joins Dana and Harper as they chat about the wedding, but the energy in the room is uncomfortable. As they talk, Tane realises they’ve got a wedding rehearsal soon, and he hasn’t even told Cash. Dana, to the rescue, marches over to find the best man.
The rehearsal is dry, and Tane doesn’t give Harper a practise kiss. Dana gifts Harper a lovely blue necklace, to be her ‘something blue’. It’s bittersweet, because as lovely as it is, it can’t change the fact that Tane doesn’t love her. In an emotional moment, Harper finds herself going through Tane’s box of mementos from his wedding to Felicity. His smile in a photo affirms her biggest concern. This time around, he’s not in love.
Levi catches Mackenzie on her way to work, worried by her distance since their discussion about wanting a baby, but she brushes him off. The next morning, she’s no less avoidant. Levi pushes and she’s worried they might be headed on two very different directions in life. She gives him no chance to argue, rushing out the door. Levi shares his reservations about parenthood with Eden who’s also been thinking about marriage again and has decided to ask Cash to marry her. With his sister’s strong resolve in mind, Levi decides maybe it’s time to get serious about the future. He rushes to Salt and pulls Mackenzie onto the balcony, announcing that she is all that he can see in his future. And he wants to have a baby with her.
Also ready to move forward with her plans, Eden asks Cash over. He’s oblivious to her jittery energy, and announces he also has something he wants to talk to her about, but he’s clearly preoccupied. Eden senses it might not be the right moment, and puts her focus into consoling Cash while he worries about what he might say to Tane.
Harper finally works up the nerve to confront Tane herself. He never seems excited about their wedding. How is she supposed to know he’s telling the truth when he says he is?
