EastEnders actress Danielle Harold has signed a new contract to stay with the show for another two years.
Harold has played the role of Billy Mitchell’s (Perry Fenwick) feisty teenage granddaughter Lola Pearce in the BBC One soap since 2011.
According to the Daily Star Sunday the show’s new boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins was keen to retain the character and has lined up a romance plot between Lola and Peter Beale (Ben Hardy).
Harold hints that their relationship will reignite the rivalry between Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).
I’ve been in to see our new boss Dom and boy does he have some big plans.
All I can say about what he has planned for me is that there’s going to be something happening with Peter.
There’s a lot of history between Ian and Phil so it’s going to have an impact on that. The last thing Ian wants is for Phil to flush his head down the toilet again. – Danielle Harold
