Abi Branning remains the hot favourite to be unveiled as Lucy Beale’s killer.
Bookmakers William Hill has the troubled teen at 2/1 favourite to be behind the killing of fellow Walford resident Lucy Beale (Hetti Bywater).
Abi, played by Lorna Fitzgerald, is one of the key suspects in the Who Killed Lucy? storyline on BBC One’s EastEnders.
William Hill told ATV Today that betting on who the killer could be is proving popular, having taken over 15,000 bets already. There is set to be a surge in bets as we get nearer to the 30th Anniversary week of EastEnders in February.
Lucy’s step-mum Jane Beale (Laurie Brett) is second favourite, with odds of 5/1, followed by half-sister Cindy Williams (Mimi Keene) at 8/1. Resident bad boy Nick Cotton, portrayed by John Altman, has odds of 20/1.
EastEnders unveiled a new trailer yesterday evening for the upcoming 30th anniversary. The anniversary week begins on Monday 16th February. A full 30 minute live episode will air on 19th February, with live elements in the rest of the episodes that week.
