Hollyoaks has announced that Amy Robbins will guest star in the soap as Lynette Drinkwell.

Best known for her role as Jill Weatherill in the television series, The Royal, Amy Robbins will play Scott Drinkwell’s (Ross Adams) mother and Diane O’Connor’s (Alex Fletcher) sister in the youth-aimed saga.  

Amy’s character, Lynette, arrives in the village to support her son Scott following a recent heartbreak in his life. When Scott has a few too many drinks, Lynette begins to worry about his behaviour but she also brings with her some life changing news…

Aside from her role in The Royal, Amy’s TV credits include: World’s End, Casualty and Noah’s Ark. She has also appeared in successful films such as Killing Me Softly and All The Little Animals.

Lynette will first appear on screens on Tuesday 21st March on E4 at 7pm and Wednesday 22nd March on Channel 4 at 6:30pm
