Valerie wonders if she can hear something running through the roof. No-one agrees with her, least of all Daniel, who pushes her and she says she has seen nothing. He tells Jimmi about it, and how he can’t put her down too much or she’ll suffer a meltdown in professional confidence. To help, they award Valerie a hastily assembled certificate as a Trusted Team Member. She is delighted. But her continued probing about the noises is met with Daniel’s belief it’ll all be fine in the end. Valerie continues to hear noises, and investigates, getting a ladder and climbing into the roof with a torch. Her delight at finding a rat – proving she was right – is short-lived when the roof gives way.
