Pick of the Plots: Monday April 17th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Monday.

SoapWeek: Corrie

When Shona finds herself in the Platts house she can’t resist having a snoop but when Gail and Sarah return home she’s forced to hide under the stairs. Shona emerges from her hiding place upon overhearing Gail and Sarah talk about David’s plot to blow up Clayton’s prison van. Later, Shona assures Gail that she hasn’t reported David to the police, before stunning Gail with a secret of her own.

Determined to find out who pushed Ken, and take himself out of the frame, Adam resolves to question Peter, convinced his story doesn’t stack up. Tracy keeps her counsel, deeply suspicious of Adam. But when Luke lets slip to Adam that he wasn’t with Tracy the night of Ken’s assault, Adam confronts Tracy, knowing Luke lied to the police for her.

Rosie and Sophie’s pursuit of Sally’s online troll leads them to a house where they confront Leah. She claims her mum is the culprit and promises to have a word. Elsewhere, Leanne warns Robert to be careful with Michelle before offering Michelle an olive branch; Phelan takes Faye to visit Seb; and Kevin tries again to reassure Tyrone that he didn’t start the fire at the garage.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Sonia does her best bull in a china shop impression at the Easter fayre after extracting from Bex that Louise has been one of the girls making her life a misery. Later, Martin comforts Bex following Sonia’s display however, Sonia remains determined to help her daughter and tells Martin she’s going to the school. Meanwhile, Louise gets a harsh reality check from Sharon about her actions.  

The residents eagerly await the special guest arranged by Carmel at the fayre – who has she booked? Denise is caught on the hop when Kush declares his love for her.  

Elsewhere, the reverend visits Shirley about not wanting to attend Sylvie’s funeral.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Cain’s furious at Harriet’s betrayal after a night in the cells and tells her he’s implicated her in his crime. Harriet sets out to turn herself in but was Cain just bluffing?

Finn is determined to turn the taxi business around and asks Rebecca for a cash injection but Ross rejects her investment

Elsewhere, Pierce has a suggestion; Diane offers Victoria and Adam cash to get fertility tests done privately.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

It’s Warren’s birthday but he has recent events on his mind. He breaks into Sally and Neeta’s flat to retrieve Bart’s body from the attic but the ladies return home and question what he’s up to. Sienna thinks fast and invites them to Warren’s birthday party to get them out of the flat. Later, Sienna and Warren are horrified when after hurting her back, Sally tells them she’ll probably be on bed rest for a week.

Ellie is getting stressed about the Pub of the Year award and asks Mac not to be around when the judges arrive for fear of how unpredictable he is. Meanwhile, Tom and Alfie decide to go ghostbusting, but when Marnie tells James that she’s swapped Mac’s sleeping pills for caffeine tablets, one of Tom’s ghostbuster audio recorders picks up their conversation.

Elsewhere, Zack gets a booty text from Leela and rushes over to the Lomax’s, but their alone time keeps getting interrupted by Leela’s motherly duties; Nick’s paranoia gets the better of him and he finds a trolling website targeting him.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Mrs Tembe and JJ return from their holiday to discover Rob on their doorstep, he wants a chat with JJ at the station. Mrs Tembe is outraged but JJ agrees to go. Meanwhile Karen pops around to visit Mrs Tembe. Karen admits she tipped Rob off about their return worried she’d been holidaying with a criminal. A furious Mrs Tembe tells her to leave. Soon afterwards, Rob visits Mrs Tembe, asking her to account for her whereabouts on April 4th. Later, JJ reveals to Mrs Tembe that the police wanted to talk to him about a gang who explode cashpoint machines in order to steal the cash. The couple manage to laugh off their ordeal but over Mrs Tembe’s shoulder JJ’s expression is one of deep concern.

Meanwhile at the Mill, Valerie returns to work on crutches. She has broken her foot but is happy to soldier on! Ayesha tells Emma of her bust up with Karl on Friday. She hasn’t heard from him since but is sure he is staying with Debs slagging her off. Later, Ayesha starts to grow concerned when she discovers Karl isn’t at Debs’. She calls Karl but he doesn’t call back …

Elsewhere, Jimmi’s meticulous plans are ruined when a Buddhist rat catcher causes chaos at the Mill!
