Pick of the Plots: Wednesday November 21st

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

It is the first day of Sally’s trial and Sally is on edge when there is no sign of Tim and Gina, but the pair arrive in the nick of time. Soon, Duncan takes to the stand and paints himself as an innocent victim who was coerced into defrauding the council after falling for Sally. Paula tries to get Sally to remember what she did on her birthday as Duncan is saying they spent the night together and Kevin recalls that Sally visited Jack that evening. Paula and Sophie set about getting the CCTV footage but it looks like it is going to take days. Sophie hatches a plan and tells Sally to pretend to be ill to adjourn the case.

Meanwhile, Gemma watches jealously as Emma and Chesney go for a run together. When there is a break in at a pizza shop and Spike is arrested Gemma accuses Chesney of shopping him to the police. Later, Chesney discovers that Spike did indeed rob the pizza shop and he tells Gemma that it was the owner who shopped him. He urges Gemma to tell him how she really feels.

Elsewhere, Phil orders Brian to oversee the school Christmas production, a tie-up of Lord of the Rings and Cinderella with a thinly-veiled threat that his job depends on the production being outstanding. Later, Brian presents Phil with his ideas but is told there has been a change of plan. Robert and Michelle give Bethany some shifts at the Bistro at Ryan’s request.

Coronation Street, Wednesday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Meanwhile, the void between Paddy and Chas is growing, and Paddy admits to Marlon that they aren’t getting on.

Elsewhere, Tracy comes up with a business plan.

Later, Lily and Romeo share a kiss when Lily is upset about the way Prince has been treating her. They stop when they hear Juliet scream…

Elsewhere, Mac asks Donna Marie to crash James’ networking event at The Hutch. James is horrified to see her and to discover that Marnie knew about Romeo the whole time. Damon tries to play matchmaker with Sienna and Brody.
